I recall watching the "Macross" and "Southern Cross" edited Robotech arcs when they broadcast on Toonami back in the late 1990s. They never aired the "Mospaeda" saga for reasons I'll probably never know - it made all the times when they aired the first next ep. preview for that set of episodes frustrating.

I've been curious about grabbing either the original uncut or the Robotech-edited versions of the series on DVD and asked a few folks in another anime community about it - supposedly they don't like the "Remastered" Robotech for some reason involving sound effects or something like that? I kinda wish I had it explained a bit better...

varg : That DVD looks like a bootleg as far as I can tell. Where did you get that image?

I'm searching Amazon for some results here.
I tend to be unfamiliar with what DVDs to go to for what to grab, though, heh.

I tend to be interested in Robotech because it was edited in much a similar manner as "Voltron" was - taking multiple unrelated series' up and combining them into one. Since I'm more familiar with Voltron I tend to find knowing what to grab for it easier - I got the GoLion Complete Chronology a while back.
