It's all basically a matter of taste I guess. If you like First Person Shooters, Xbox 360 is the way to go, if you like RPG's, PS3 is the way to go. It all depends on the kind of gamer you are and how much time you got on your hands.

Another thing about Blu-Ray that is something to consider in the long run is they are quite tough to scratch. My bro and one of his friends have COD4 my bro for 360 his friend for PS3. Both knocked their systems over while playing (each had them vertical) The 360 Disc got a scratch and now my bro can't play part of the single player. The PS3 disc didn't have a mark on it.

That could be better interior design of the consoles..

I feel blueray would be worse to scratch, if it has more data per unit area, scratching it will make you loose alot more data compared to say, on a 700mb CD.

I myself have never scratched a game bad enough to where it wasn't playable, actually I think i've only scratched like 1 game in my entire life. They've also got those protective things you put no your CD now days that is suppose to prevent scratches.

I've never had a problem with Wii's reading discs. SSBB is a special case since it's dual layered. As long as you take care of your discs relatively well and don't drop a pile of dust into your Wii, you should be fine.

How many games come on dual layer? Not many I assume.. The problem is just that its harder for the laser to read them. Sounds like nintendo didnt expect too many games to be on dual layer (they are wii games afterall..), so didnt put enough time and money into it.

Oh, no the problem was there were some Wii's that simply could not read dual layered games, some kind of manufacturing thing, but it wasn't a very large number. Not like the 360 atrocities.

Although Xbox 360 has a lot of good games out now, it will be beaten by Playstation 3. There are gonna be a lot of great games coming out for PS3 this year. The only reason 360 is winning so far is because it came out way before the PS3 and most of the games on PS3 are also on 360.

sony need to pull their head out, bring back backwards compatibility, get the good companys back in their corner, and look at why ps2 was so great.

my friend is a long time gamer, so he has skill. because of that he wins alot against the above mentioned people.
because they are how they are, big egos that hate to lose and hurt those who beat them, they get together and get him auto-banned every few months.

microsoft have made a patch you can download or order on a disc that you install onto your xbox 360 and "suposedly" you can play all origanal xbox games.
