My first Mario memory would be playing Super Mario 64, on the DS when I was 4, I liked the exploration elements, and it showed what modern hardware (for the time) could do. I was used to the side scrolling graphics of the Genesis, so it was like a new thing to me.

I believe the first Mario game I ever played is Super Mario 64. That game was the best! I should go play that again!

It was mariokart 64 for me, I played that game a long time ago and it was the first memory I had in playing a mario game. I still have great memories of more recent mario games like mario kart (I still play that game now and I think it is still fun), The Olympic games with sonic, mario party games and mario sports mix and a few others. I have a lot of memories with mario games and I think they are some of my favorite games to play because they are so fun and enjoyable. It seems like a lot of people's first mario experience came from either supermario64 or mariokart64, they are both good games and I play a lot of recent mario games now and I think they are still fun to play and I enjoy them.

My first Mario game memory was when I was about 6 or 7 and I was playing Super Mario World and I was stuck to the first level to the left, I couldn't figure out how to get past the giant bullet, so my father helped me and gave me the idea to duck underneath it when it comes by.

My first Mario game is Super Mario World it was also my first video game I owned other than a PC game. I played it and I liked it. But when I was the first time by the final boss I could not figure out how to defeat Bowser. Later I found out how to defeat him. But what I remember the most of the game is that my father took my Game boy Advance all the time to play Mario World.

For me, it is Super Mario World, I remember playing it on the SNES, or it might have been the Virtual Boy, Mario tennis.

Fasten your seat belts people because we're going on trip back in time. I'm not really sure if this one counts, but I hope so. Some of you might remember that Mario has been around since the first Donkey Kong video game (back in the stone age aka 1980s). If you take that into consideration then my first Mario memory would be of playing Donkey Kong as Mario trying to save Princess Toadstool from the angry giant ape. My first Mario titled game was the original Mario Brothers (not to be confused with Super Mario Brothers). Yes, there is such a game and I suggest you look it up. Before the first Super Mario Brothers game (which became a huge success) there was a game simply entitled Mario Brothers in which the cliché objective was to rescue the princess. How one princess can wind up in some kind of trouble so many times I have no idea, but the game was fun. After the release of Super Mario Brothers the original game, Mario Brothers, faded into obscurity. So there you go...a nice video game history lesson from an old antique buzzard.

My first Mario memory was playing Super Mario Bros with my mom. We used to have it on a cheap joystick and we would stay up late trying to pass through the game. I also remember making 1-ups in world 6 at the stairs on the end of the level and being able to play for a long time. The joystick broke though so it had been awhile since I last played... Until I found this website(:

I think the first game of a mario title was the Super Mario 64 for Nintendo 64(duh) and I didn't quite understood it at the time, so I found myself climbing the endless stairs for 10 mins until someone told me that's not the way to go yet.

The very first memory I have of a video game and memory of a Mario game are one in the same. My uncle and my grandad were showing me how to use the overturned red koopa shell on the Yoshi's Island 2 level of Super Mario World to knock all those first koopas down and get that sweet, sweet mushroom. It is forever etched into my mind and it is one of my best memories.
