Personally, I think it is a staff member, but that it is possible that the staff member in question was not seen by other staffs thanks to an inside help, an accomplice. That person could have, by example, a crafted alibi.

Yet even if this is pure speculation, it's worth looking into, all the while avoiding the red herrings.

Secondly, I do not think there is sufficient evidence to act. Certainly one can suspect but tis futile without more evidence to base it upon.

I am most curious about this ink stain... I have never heard of a sharp-smelling ink.

Is it possible to determine what kind it was? Writing ink, drawing ink, or that special security ink like they place on fire alarms and anti-theft devices? It might help the BSA to narrow down their suspects.
