I am new to this site and I have not seen this question posted yet. I was playing Kirby Super Star for the SNES (a game which I used to play a lot with an old friend of mine) until my brother asked if he could play with me. We had spent some time browsing this site to no avail. We have 2 working X-box 360 controllers and the game itself register that both of the controllers work. But we can only control Kirby's movements not the other characters that he may summon (and yes I know he can do this. As I said I played 2 players on the SNES with my friend) Is this at all possible and if so how can we do this?

There are 3 problems I can come up with. 1) Your computer is not reading the two controllers as two separate devices. 2)You have not correctly set the player 2 device with the 2nd controller (done on the device tab of the plugin). If the first one is the case, there is a way to get your computer to read them as separate, but I don't know how. My suggestion would be to have one of you use an Xbox controller, and the other person use the keyboard. Just remember to set establish this in the device tab of the plugin.

In the game it allows for us to change the controls...but its a bit confusing. I can set the keyboard or the controller for one person to use but I cannot edit the controls for second player. First player says its using the keyboard/gamepad but for second player it says none. It will not let me edit this which is what bring me to my question. Is it just this game or is it not possible at all on this site? From your post it sounds like it is possible however I am just unsure on how to do it for this game.

After editing a few things in Xpadder, we finally got it to work. The game itself has a weird control set up. Other games however work. I just had to change a few controls in to accommodate 2 people. I guess its just that game that wont allow it which is a bummer. Thank you both for posting.
