irleejun : I think you need to read the rules again. First, this is not for his own good. The issue has been discussed already, and he has agreed to not review a game that AVGN has reviews. Second, it is not your job to handle the situation. When you see something going wrong, you report it. Not flame the user. And if you reported it, you would know that it has been dealt with and will not happen again. This is your last warning. Drop it now. The discussion is over.

Hydlide can't be a Zelda clone or rip-off by any means. The original game was released in 1984, the first Legend of Zelda was released in 1986. And even if we're counting only the NES port, Hydlide was released on Japan in February 1986, while LoZ was released only a month later.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but.... Hydlide came out first. It was released on NEC PC-6001 on December 13, 1984. The NES/Famicom version, Hydlide Special, was released on March 18, 1986. It might only seem like a ripoff because of Avgn's comparisons between it and Zelda,  and coming out much later. The version we're discussing is a porting disaster. The original PC version was actually a good game for its time. It was one of the earliest RPGs, along with Dragon Slayer. It had some innovations, such as regenerating health, switching between attack and defense mode, and saving and loading through passwords. Take this into account, please.
