sonicmcmuffin : Don' sweat it... I usually drink about one a day, if I have the money to get one. By the way, have you ever heard of Rip It? They are only 99 cents a piece for 16 ounces, and are a heck of a lot healthier. And they taste better, too. Well, in my opinion anyway... The only bad thing about them? they are very hard to find. You usually have to go to the gas station or convience storrs that nobody goes too, unless you find a place that stays stocked with them (if you know of a place, let me me know ASAP, please)
thing1 : No i haven't I don't live in America after all. If i ever see it anywhere in England I will let you know.. As for healthier energy drinks there is a few around but most are either isotonic sports drinks or something similar.
I don;t know why but i love Irn- bru as well maybe its my Scottish heritage coming through i have no idea.... XD
sonicmcmuffin : lrn- bru? What is that? A healthy energy drink or something? And when I said a healthier energy drink, I meant that the Rip It's don't have as much of the stuff in them as Monster's do.
Lately, I haven't had any cans of Monster, but I would say it is one of my favorites, if not my favorite, energy drink. I love energy drinks, I could drink them daily (which I did my senior year of high school) because I love the taste of them more than anything else I've tasted.
Lifetime I've had a couple or few hundred energy drinks, I'd say about half of those were probably Monster. Usually just the original though, it's the best.
While Taurine is in Bile, it occurs naturally in foods and is an amino acid, a basis for protein.
This was taken from Wikipedia on Taurine, and I will shorten it:
"Taurine is essential for cardiovascular function, and development and function of skeletal muscle, the retina and the central nervous system. . . Taurine occurs naturally in food, especially in seafood and meat."
It isn't bile, but taurine is a part of bile. There is taurine, not bile, in energy drinks. No need to be disgusted.
thing1 : I have had 1 monster drink my entire life, and the truth is, I probably wont have anymore. I don't really like the taste of energy drinks..and they always remind me of times drinking shots and getting way too drunk. So I basically stay away from energy drinks of any kind.
