So, this isn't really a superstar holiday like Christmas or Thanksgiving, but when you're in the military you come to see that it may have meaning for people who were/are soldiers. The Army has a 4-day weekend right now in observance. That means we have today, tomorrow, Sunday and Monday off from work. Not a bad deal. In addition to that, a lot of restaurants let people in the military eat for free. I know Famous Daves, Applebees and I think Buffalo Wild Wings does it.

But setting that aside, even though today isn't exactly on the level of Memorial Day, be aware of any soldiers around you who are in the military right now. Thank them for what they do. If you happen to be near a VA (Veteran's Affairs) facility don't be afraid to stop in and shake the hand of a veteran who may have been in WWII, Vietnam, or Desert Storm. It wasn't their choice to go to war with another country and they'll really appreciate someone who understands what they went through, whether they are in the Armed Forces or not. Yes, I am in the Army myself, but David has already given me praise a few times in the past, so you guys don't really need to thank me. If you live in a big city, or better yet, near a military installation, you'll be seeing them around. I'll probably head over to the hospital here on post to see if anything special is going on.

I'd like to take the time right now to thank all of our veterans, especially the one's here at Vizzed, for their brave dedication to the country. In fact, I want this to extend to all soldiers around the world. Despite all the problems and ugliness that society has to put up with, you all have bravely stood up for humanity, to serve your country. And for that honorable act, we salute you all. Happy Veteran's Day everyone! Remember those that have made the world the place that it is today.

Yep, surprisingly this thread is very...dull. Nobody seems to have interest, but I'll be darned to say no to that. Vet's Day was a blast, thanking veterans such as yourself Cyro. Thank you.
