Hey, so this is like every other ask anything thread, but the topic is about the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Pretty self explanatory.
So, ask away, and I should be able to reply quickly.

What is Hyper Sonic? Difference in ability?

Hyper Sonic is the ability that Sonic can gain after achieving all of the Chaos Emeralds and Super Emeralds. Currently, he Is only unlockable in Sonic 3 and Knuckles(lock on mode only).
The difference in ability is kinda slim to none. One major thing is that you can only play Doomsday Zone if you unlocked Hyper Sonic. Another noticeable feature is that Hyper Sonic is flashing different colors, while Super Sonic stays Yellow.

Does Cream ever cameo in a videogame? Are the chaotix like mercenaries? Do any of them appear in a next gen game? Wii, Xbox360, PS3, PC...

Do you think Knuckles or Shadow will be released in Sonic Generations?

UserMike : Cream has cameo'd in quite a few of the Sonic games, and was even playable in Sonic Heroes.
Team Chaotix is a detective group, but in some ways, they could be considered mercenaries.
Yes, in fact, they are in the newest game Sonic Generations, which is on the PS3, Xbox360 and PC.

mike345 : Sonic Generations has already been released. If you mean boss/appearance wise, yes, they are there.
But if you mean future DLC playable character, then I'd imagine Shadow being one instead of Knuckles, mainly for the fact of speed and how Shadow is basically a clone of Sonic.

Who do you think is the most overrated character?

Someone70 : It's a tie between Sonic and Mephiles the Dark. Sonic because he is the original character, he has a pretty cool attitude, and is overall an awesome character.
For Mephiles the Dark, it mainly has to do with how evil he is. He tricked Silver into thinking Sonic was the destroyer of everything, and also technically fooled Robotnik(though it isn't really that difficult to do =P). Aside from that, he also accomplished one thing that no other villain in the Sonic franchise has been able to do- Kill Sonic. Despite the fact Sonic was later brought back to life. >.>

I'd probably have to say Shadow. Most fans go about praising his powers, even saying stuff like he's faster than Sonic, while all he is is a reversed clone in the Sonic franchise so there can be an equally matched rival, while still proving Sonic is the best. If you take away his chaos powers, he is basically nothing.

But really here is my question. Is there any official sonic games that were made for PC? What about fan ones? (Not flash games)

Fan ones too. One notable fan game is Sonic Robo Blast 2. (missed opinions as of how good it is from fans)

Okay then.. If you could permanently remove ANY (only one) character of the whole "World of sonic"..

scootheman : Cream the Rabbit or the Chao's. They really annoy me, plus it makes the games a bit more for babies and whatnot with them in the games, IMO.

pacman1755 : Yes, definitely. It was the perfect game for a 20th anniversary. Regardless of what people like GameInformer say, it perfectly showed off Sonic's time.

mike345 : Yes, for modern and classic. You can use him after defeating Time Eater. It's complicated, though. You have to go to the skill shop and set it through skill customization(regards to Leggy who told me this =P). After that, all it takes is 50 rings and a quick swipe at the Y button.

UserMike : 1) Sonic Skateboarding as in the Sonic Generations of Sakte event? If so, that was an advertisement event (I think. Or a charity event. Not sure.) for Sonic Generations.
2) My favorite bad guy in the series is Mephiles the Dark, Nya~. I've explained the reason above in my reply to Nitori (basically, he was the evilest and most successful villain in the series.)
3) Not necessarily. In the series, and probably reality, Speed > Power.
