Davideo7 : Hey are you thinking of new Power levels well I got one


Powerlevels:

Banned : A user who has violated the rules and is either blocked from site features temporarily or permanently. User can still play their own purchased games, view posts and use the PM system but that's about it.

Newbie member : This is what you are when you sign up. You have all the basic priveleges and can post in most forums but you have a few limitations; here are the limitations:
-Cannot post pictures unless they are located on vizzed.com
-Cannot post clickable links unless they are located on vizzed.com
-Cannot upload pictures -Cannot post any form of html
-Can only make 1 thread per a day
-Can only send 10 PMs per a day
-Can only make up to 10 Viz per a post
-Can only rate 5 games per a day

Normal member : After you've been a member for at least 7 days and have 10 or more posts, you become a Normal member. However, you do not get this power level until a day after reaching the requirements. Users of this power level do not have the restrictions that a Newbie Member has.

Trusted member : By respecting fellow members, a user can gain 'Trust Points' - with atleast 5 'Trust Points', a user automatically becomes Trusted; a Trusted Member becomes a Normal user if they go below 3 points. Trusted members have access to a few extra forums, can make a custom title, can access vizzed uploader, have an underlined username, can give or take trust points from other users, etc. This is a great privilege.

Pokemon member: If you like pokemon have a certain amount of pokemon posts you will receive pokemon points.These determine weather a user gets this rank or not.The points given out will depend on your pokemon posts(Posts that contain pokemon in it)

15 pokemon posts:1pokemon point

20 pokemon posts:3 pokemon points

35 pokemon posts:7 pokemon points

45 pokemon posts:10 pokemon points

60 pokemon posts:15 pokemon posts.

Unlike the trusted member position where users can rate another user these points will be given out automatically(No going to profiles and having to give these out like trust points)
This will also have the same features a Trusted member gets like access to vizzed uploader Can make a custom title have access to a few extra forums can use the advanced layout editor and use may other features only available to trusted members and above.Can also rent a forum(For people who want a pokemon based forum or about other things)and have masterballs under there names to tell people that they have this position.I think this might be a great position to have so anyone can easily sort through the memberlist without having Pokemon fans shown on the normal power level page(Just the Pokemon Member power level page)They must have at least 5 points to get this.If you get 10 Trust Points and become trusted this position isn't taken away it will still be there.To get vizzed elite is the same.You must have been a really well known Trusted Member have been here for 6 months and have at least 240 posts.That will still be the same but you must get trust points well on this position.As stated before this position won't be taken away when you've become trusted.Users who don't make pokemon posts and drop below 3 points will either become a trusted member(if you where one)or a normal user


Vizzed Elite : Only a few are ever given this position. To qualify, you have to be a very well known and trusted member, been part of vizzed for more than 6 months, and have more than 250 posts. Most previous forum staff members who were staff and did a lot as staff are also given this position. Occassionally I may choose someone who doesn't meet requirement but it's rare.

RGR Staff : Someone who helps out with the Retro Game Room.

Local Moderator : A staff member who has mod powers to selected forums and can ban people from those forums.

Global Moderator Male : A staff member who has mod powers over every forum and can also ban users. Also has superiority over local mods.
Global Moderator Female : A staff member who has mod powers over every forum and can also ban users. Also has superiority over local mods.

Administrator : A staff member who is 2nd in command. Has mod powers over every forum, every user, and has superiority over every staff member except the Owner.

Owner : Davideo7 himself, the boss man. Commander and Owner of Vizzed. A kind person, however, break the rules and he will break his oath to never kill again. His wrath is powerful and to be feared, do not anger him. Davideo7 has the power to override ALL persons under his command as ALL Staff members take orders from him.

rcarter2 : There's a lot of annoying cartoons these days, pretty much the majority of all cartoons made after 2000 are annoying to me lol.  I prefer the cartoons from the 80s and 90s.

thenumberone : I don't know, that was a feature that was originally implemented in the original acmlm code and I haven't bothered changing it.  Eventually I plan to recode the entire thread, newreply, newthread and forum pages.

sharingan12 : That's a feature I don't have the skills to implement myself so I need to hire someone to do it and I'd expect it'll cost $1000+ to have implemented.  Since we average maybe $10-25 worth of donations a month, it could be a year from now or even longer.

Is there a way to make the server restart after updates so you dont have to do it?(y'know,the not enough memory message)

thenumberone : The not enough memory message isn't because of updates.  I still don't know what triggers it exactly but it seems to sometimes happen at midnight and also sometimes after the server restarts every day.

Ah,i thought you meant it was the updates causing it.
It generaly happens about 9am (my time) iv posted at 8am and an hour later seen it like that(so i guess about 3am server time).
I dont suppose youre payments to bigdaddy cover help for that do they?

Davideo7 : Maybe the server rebooting is messing up sql, perhaps you need to have the sql reboot after server does?

When will I receive a link for the staff application

thenumberone : No it doesn't, I just need to look into the problem more thoroughly when I have time.

JigSaw : Possibly, I could create a task to do that but I don't know how I would code a task to restart the plesk mysql server.

Do you plan on getting a Wii U (based off what you know about it so far)?

sharingan12 : I'll look into that.  If I did decide to do that, it would be in the distant future since I have a lot of higher priority stuff to take care of first.

rcarter2 : Yeah I would really like to get one, maybe not right away but hopefully within a year of its release.  A lot of the gaming I do is with my wife and the Wii has a lot of multiplayer games so I expect the Wii U will be the game.

When was the last time you went camping? What did you do there?

Someone70 : I've only been camping once and it was probably about 17 years ago.  If was on my grandmas land (she lives in the country) and it was with my friend, my dad and his friend.  We shot off a few fireworks and had a fire but nothing else worth mentioning.  I've done some yard camping but that doesn't really count.
