Just wondering what the formula for determining the best reviewer/best screenshots etc on the VGR page is. If it's just the most amount of 5/5 ratings or based on your average rating after you've gotten a certain amount of ratings or something else?

Have you ever ate fried chicken from Popeyes before? They're absolutely awesome, in case you didn't know.

could you allow profile pictures bigger than 100 kilobytes
like maybe 1 MB because kilobytes are tiny

Barathemos : I've only seen the Bond movies with Peirce Brosnan. I actually owned all of the James Bond movies with him in it on VHS when I was younger. I still think he was the best Bond, even if I've only seen clips of the other movies.


Zlinqx : The formula for figuring out "best videos" and "best screenshots" is rating * votes. Also, it ignores all screenshots and videos with a rating of 2 or less.

TheFadedWarrior : Actually if everyone was allowed to have a 1 MB picture, that would cause posts to take longer to load for users with slower internet and that would suck up a ton of bandwidth. Lets say that everyone on a post page had a 1 MB picture and there were 10 different users on that page, that'd be 10 MB just for that single page load for that single person. While it wouldn't kill the server, it would definitely contribute to killing the server.

janus : Of course it was the Tour de France that inspired the Tour de Vizzed. I've been watching it for the past 5+ years now and I think it was the 2nd year I watched it that I came up with the idea. The jerseys and banners are somewhat based on the Jerseys in the TdF. Here are the TdF Jerseys:
Yellow Jersey: Highest Ranked Overall Rider
White Jersey: Highest Ranked Young Rider (anyone under 25)
Polkadot Jersey: Best Mountain Climber (most overall points in that competition)
Green Jersey: Best Sprinter (most overall points in that competition)
Rainbow Jersey (placed on top of a jersey): Worn by the reigning world champion

Except for the Rainbow Jersey, which is worn the entire TdF, a rider wears a Jersey if they're the current leader in that competition.

In the Tour de France, there are basically a few competitions going on. Some riders are competing for the overall win which is awarded to whoever has the most points after 21 stages. Some riders compete to win just a single stage race. Some riders compete in the Green Jersey competition by gaining points in the flat sprint sections of a course. Some riders compete in the Polkadot Jersey competition by getting to the top of mountains first in a course. Like the TdV, the TdF offers a lot for riders to walk away with something and isn't all just about winning the entire thing.

Not sure if you knew this or remembered this but the original Red Jersey and Green Jersey in the Tour de Vizzed weren't what they are now. Red was awarded to whoever made the single highest post in a day and Green was awarded to whoever made the most posts in a single hour. Those were eventually replaced with what they are now as a way to promote contributing to the site and also because those Jerseys were spammed pretty badly with the way they were before.

TheTrueUlti : I never expected Vizzed to be all that successful since it started as just a forum. I always figured it'd be just a small community with a few loyal users who posted every day but it's so awesome that it's grown to what it has become and keeps expanding.

Bintsy : I basically did the same thing I do every year on Thanksgiving and Christmas, spend time with family. It's never anything too special or out of the ordinary, just usually the same thing every year.

janus : Things are still pretty bad financial. The only reason I'm offering cash prizes this month is because I recently expanded the VGR with Steam games and I view it as a great opportunity to get content in there and to get traffic on there. It's a financial risk I'm willing to take but after this month I'm sure there wont be any more big amounts of cash prizes for a long time.


PacmanandMariofan : My wife bought me the original trilogy playset for Disney Infinity with a few Star Wars characters to go with it. I bought my wife LEGO Dimensions so I guess you could say that I also got that since what's hers is mine lol.

I saw a total of 11 family members including my wife and kids. 19 if you include in laws.


Bintsy : I was really close to my Grandpa when I was younger who eventually died. Instead of going to daycare when I was younger, he basically took care of me. He eventually got Parksinson's Disease and ironically 1 summer I had to take care of him (when I was older of course). He eventually died from the disease when I was in middle school.
