These are parachute pants.

Do you drive? If so, what model car do you drive? Or is it a motorcycle? Better yet, the lightcycle from Tron?

legacyme3 : Nope, never worn those. I use to wear wind pants when I was in middle school and high school, they kinda remind me of those.

I do drive but not often. My wife and I have 1 vehicle and it's a Suburban. We wanted some big and safe for when we transport our kids.

I do travel with my Bicycle sometimes if I need to go somewhere in town.

Can we get a always active server. Like when you get a message or a notification, you actually get the message or notification when it was sent instead of refreshing the window or loading a new page? I hope you understand what I mean.

Davideo7:You wake up one day, you go into your living room to find an evil man, whom has your finely captive, in order to free them alive, you most commit one of three crimes on the same 10 year old female child. You have to choose between murder, kidnapping or rape. Which crime would you choose to commit on this child?

Also, I think somewhat in the PSX thing is broken.

Your video game collection must be massive and taken several years to get where you are now.  I have 3 questions, all pertaining to each other.

1.)  What are the top 5 games that you like the most in your collection?

2.)  What was the hardest game in your collection to acquire?

3.)  What is the top game on your "to get" list?

Will December have a changed layout for vizzed, like last year?

I suppose this post is sort of like a letter to the editor. The reason that I say that is because there is a whole group of us users, from Newbs to Elite, that have a very frustrating Vizzed problem that there seems to be no fix for.

You see David, I'm one of those people that can't play N64 or PlayStation games through Vizzed on my computer. Why? The general reason that seems to be most popular is that my computer is too old to emulate these games correctly. I'm using a 10 year old laptop running Windows Vista. Back when I first discovered this problem, I exhausted countless ideas to try to find a band-aid repair for this problem. You can read about them in a very old thread here.

After that I sort of gave up. Some time passed and another user named Zurenriri asked a question in his thread here that gave me an idea for him that ended up not working. The idea was to download the mednafen emulator, configure it so that it worked to his satisfaction and then copy it's configuration file and replace the one in the Retro Game Room Plugin with the updated .cfg file.

It didn't work. tRIUNE said it best - "the values can't be changed within the RGR Plugin's config file because that is loaded dynamically each time you play a game using the plugin"

A couple of hours ago, I became determined to play a PSX game again, especially since we now have the entire library at our command. It didn't work right. The longer I played the game with it's choppy audio that seemed to be the cause for the slightly slow gameplay, the more frustrated I got. I began revisiting the idea that there MUST be a workaround to this problem other than buying a new computer at this incredibly inopportune point in my life.

I googled and came across this. That is a list of Sound Processing Unit Plugins that can be installed in PSEmu PRO to fix sound problems like choppy audio playback. Somewhere on that site it says that some of those plugins work with other emulators but it doesn't give any specifics. I thought to myself "Self, these types of procedures are slightly beyond your current level of skill and it's probably not even possible to alter this aspect of the RGR plugin because of what tRIUNE said before."

As I was looking through that list of SPU Plugins I happened to notice the last time the Null Driver was modified. December 31, 1998. When I saw that, I said to myself "Self, am I seeing that people have been able to emulate PSOne games since 1998?" To me, this means that the top of the line computers in 1998 were able to successfully emulate those games and all of the older computers needed help which is why that plugin was created. My laptop was manufactured in 2004 and according to the Internet, it should be vastly superior to a computer manufactured in 1998.

After all of this time, I am no longer willing to believe that my computer hardware is so antiquated that it just can't emulate the games correctly. I'm now a firm believer in the notion that the Mednafen Advanced Settings to Minimize Video Lag and the Mednafen Advanced Settings to Minimize Audio Lag need to be tweaked.

David, I realize that you've probably got a pretty cool newer computer with some awesome servers, etc, so this isn't an issue that's gnawing at you on a daily basis like a festering wound. To say that I think about it on a daily basis would be slightly over dramatic. It would be more accurate to say that it's once a week. Also, I'm not the only one who has the problem. There's this guy, and this guy, and this guy, and this guy, and on and on.

I want to be clear, I'm not complaining. I'm simply writing this post to ask - What can WE do to fix this problem for every user on Vizzed? I say WE because I'm willing to help however I can. If you want me to download mednafen and run some tests to see if this truly might work, I'll do it.

...Maybe you can't make those kinds of changes to the Plugin without Tom760 but I hope that's not the case.
