I am not Christian but I enjoy reading the Bible especially the parables. One I am particularly fond off is the parable of Lazarus and The Rich Man but while talking about to my friend he said Lazarus was in a different part in the Bible but I have looked for it and not found it. Can someone tell where in scripture it is located or if my friend was mistaken? Thanks!

I think your friend is somewhat mistaken. There are a couple Lazarus stories, 1 being the story of the rich man, and the other being the one where a Lazarus is resurrected.

Just because two stories have characters named Lazarus doesn't necessarily mean they are about the same person.  My personal opinion is that the name Lazarus was used because of  that names meaning. In Hebrew Lazarus means " God will help" or " God will save" and I think that is the reason why it was used in rich man parable and probably in the resurrection story aswell.
