I do think this thread has a pretty good bias in it... Porn is not "evil" or "bad," it is one or more consenting adults engaging in sex. Sex is not bad. and masturbation is not bad.
Really the only time I watch porn is when I feel the need to take care of myself. I feel it is better to masturbate than have sex with random women because that leads to pregnancy and/or diseases.
If a person is "addicted" to it, then they need to go to see someone. Any sort of addiction is bad.

Why do you need to break the addiction though? It's not like it matters. Okay, once it starts interfering with the way you see the gender of your choice than I supposed you have to stop. I guess I have nothing to really say except do what they say ^

I don't really have that addiction. All you need is a hobby, a job, and a girlfriend / boyfriend to keep from making it worse. Porn is just an escape sometimes.

I'd have to agree with Rodzilla. Never been addicted to porn. However, any other addictions I've had to break, cold turkey seemed to work best.

I would say like give your computer away, or have someone else set up a block for you. Make it either impossible or very hard to access a porn site.

I'm not addicted to porn, but sometimes I use it. People who say "porn is dirty and disgusting" but have a huge stash are hypocrites. And I know a few people who are like that.

So watching porn makes you an addict? Me and my wife watch it sometimes, so we are addicts? C'mon now.  you need to watch that crappy Mtv show called true life: I'm addicted to porn. You'll see your error.

Wow, I never thought that kids your age would already be addicted to porn.  I know there's a lot of it out there, especially on the web.  I struggle with this issue and I'm 56.  One thing I know, pornography is a dead-end street.  Using porn isolates a person and brings a lot of shame and embarrassment along with it.  As for a way to avoid it -- I can tell you that staying busy helps.  Also being honest with other people and holding yourself accountable to them in regards to your use of porn.

Sadly, even network TV bombards us with soft porn.  There's no way to avoid this unless one wants to become a cloistered monk or nun!  I would say that, if you are involved in a church, talk to them about your addiction.  If not, look for someone to talk to about how you feel when you want to look at it.  Above all, do not isolate yourself.  Be a people person and take up hobbies that keep you busy and away from the source of porn. 

While I agree that putting blockers on computers can help, there are always ways around that.  It's like putting a screen door on a submarine.  I know how hard it is to break this addiction!

Every guy watches porn. Yes, you. And yes, your guy/boyfriend/husband/dad/brother/priest. To be adicted to it means there is no time for anything else basically.

I thought this was a family site. And, I don't know about you guys, but my family doesn't talk about this stuff. I'm all about breaking bad addictions, but I don't think subjects like this should be fodder for vizzed. And no to that one guy who said it, not every guy watches porn. That's kind of one of those things that I think sets me aside from most guys.

Whilst pornography is a touchy subject for some people, merely talking about trying to solve an addiction won't bring any harm.. 

Also  it's already under an "adults" sub forum...

I am all for this being a family friendly site, but I am very sorry if my answer to a question posted here or my answer to it (which I will stay behind of) has offended you. I would only like to remind you that no bad words have been used and if here is the more adult side of the site where we are allowed to discuss more adult issues, we should be free to do so. I am sorry on my part if I have caused any ill will, but I only thought we can all do this here and the kids and people who are more sensitive would not venture here, on this part of the site.

Not trying to be a downer here, but getting a girl shouldn't become a solution. It almost seems like you're dating her for sex... idk that's just what I got out of it
