Meh, I'm not too impressed with most fights I see - they're mostly boxing with a few kicks or knees and then Jujitsu; I don't see much martial arts (as far as I see that art).

I don't go out of my way to watch UFC, but I don't mind if I happen to see it. The only fight I did go out of my way to see was a St.Pierre fight, and only because I like to see Canadians win at sports. I don't even remember who he fought, shows how much I care about it lol. Compared to other similar sports like boxing or wrestling (both fake and olympic style) the UFC is far better for entertainment in my mind.

UFC I think its a bunch of guys who didn't have enough tallent to go into pro wrestling for the wwe Although it is nice to see someone get body slamed every once and awhile.

I think UFC is just a real version of Wrestling is all. It is not as entertaining as professional wrestling, but it is more real and legit, which gives it some points in my book, even though I have never watched it.

I watch UFC sometimes. They do get pretty aggressive and hardcore when it comes to this kind of stuff but if that's what you want to do, then I'm not going to hold you back. IF you do continue with this plan, just make sure you get a good trainer and you should definitely tell us when you're matches come up.

Initially my training for my 1st qualifying match was to break the guy's arm - the ref broke it up shortly after, and the judges said 'no, you can't fight this way here', next match I thought to dislocate the guy's shoulder instead - that was still bad in their opinion.

So now I'm training in Hapkido to balance out the training I already have in Ninjutsu and Kung Fu San Soo.

It will probably be another 1-2 years before I get another qualifying match, but we'll see, and I keep it posted here.

Hi tRIUNE, I have already posted here but this one adds more info to the subject. Randy couture V's James toney. Randy is a master at grappling and greco roman wrestling and toney is a pro boxer. Randy dominates because toney was not prepared for ground defence. On the other hand, in another fight Randy gets knocked out with a karate kid style kick from the dragon machita! Here is the link. It is a classic example of a boxer V's wrestler, which in my opinion can go either way. Also I think your ninjutso or judo skills would greatly help you. The Gracie jujitsu family has proved there skills are hard to beat.

I think ufc is pretty cool, It's fun to watch and can be very entertaining... One bad thing is that the fights feel like they go on forever when they are just dancing around in the octagon instead of brawling.

I think UFC is a good idea in theory, but is one of those things that you can't watch to a certain extent.  Whenever someone starts to get extremely bloody, it reminds me of why I usually stay away from fighting shows.
