If you sweat a lot you will lose weight. I like jogging and cardio workouts for weight loss. Also a good diet, like you have been doing is very good for that too!
GREAT JOB!

Congratulations geeo. I've done similar things as you have and I've lost 37 pounds over this year. It's not much compared to you but it is something I am very proud of. And since I am diabetic, it helps control that better. I am going to try to do some exercising with walking and riding my bike, I just need some new tubes for my tires. I also don't eat any sweets, not only to lose the weight but to control the diabetic attacks. I also eat a lot of fruit and vegetables. It's basically the only thing I can eat that doesn't make me sick. I also eat a lot more white meat and once in awhile I will eat red meat, but not very often.

You said that you can exercise more easily now...mind if I ask how you can stay committed to exercising? I used to do it like everyday to impress someone and then I realized that having muscles ain't the way to get women to like you so I stopped. In the years since, I find it very difficult to begin again because I really have no motivation. Any suggestions?

NotJon : what I meant by easier is that the actual exercising is physically easier. Not mentally. I still need the push to get myself to exercise.

SunflowerGaming : you've lost more weight than I have and somehow my accomplishment is better??? That makes no sense to me :P You deserve recognition for you accomplishment too. Anytime someone loses weight and becomes healthier that's a good thing.

Vizzed Ghostblood : I'm not sure how to banish a Wight but I'm sure someone can figure that out for you :D

geeogree : I just meant you were able to lose your weight faster than I did. Haha. But thanks, that makes me happy.

SunflowerGaming : OH, that makes sense.

Yeah, I really went hardcore for a while in an effort to lose weight. I'm slowed down a lot recently. More focusing on maintaining a ceiling and trying to go down if possible.

Well that is really good. What do you weigh now? Not to be all pushy or anything.

I typically eat well and I am young so I am in shape most of the time.

Maintaining a healthy weight is very important for overall health and helps in preventing and controlling many diseases and conditions.Being overweight or obese there are risk of developing serious health problems, including heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, gallstones, breathing problems, and certain cancers. The site has some useful tips for maintaining a healthy body weight http://www.cdc.gov/healthyweight/losing_weight/getting_started.html
Doing all this is very difficult but not impossible. Just strong determination is necessary. Because maintaining a healthy weight helps you feel good about yourself, and gives you more energy to enjoy life.

I'm a guy 6' 2" and I was 220 pounds. I stopped drinking soda started exercising and went on a very low calorie diet of 1500 calories a day. After a couple of months I am now 158 pounds and still losing weight. I found out the best way to lose weight is to set a goal you can meet on a weekly basis. Don't say I'm going to lose 50 pounds instead say this week I'm going to lose 1 to 2 pounds. If you meet that little goal you will feel that you can achieve success. It is all about sticking to your goal. Meeting little goals along the way will keep you happy and help you continue losing weight until you reach your desired weight. Stick to your plans and don't give up I wish everyone looking to shed a few pounds success

Good job, its nice to see someone taking a healthier approach to weight loss. The weight loss sounds rather rapid to me though so try to stay well.

I am glad you don't eat junk food as that stuff is poison to your system and ends up tasting rather bland over time. Plus the sugar highs and lows definitely aren't worth it.
