Davideo7 : There is no way you could have predicted that Ben Tate would score that many points. You just have to remember to put out your best team every week

trouble982 : Well I have like 2 players that I could've replaced with other players but that would've required me to have let those 2 players go and I didn't really want to do that since I think they'd do better the following week so I thought I'd be able to get by this week without letting them go.
In the past I've let go of players who I tried to get back the following weeks and someone else picked them before I got those players back and those players went on to score a lot of points, I tried to avoid that mistake again. |

Davideo7 :
I definitely went with my gut. There were a few free agent options I had including one of the Patriots Running Back (who I released FOR Ben Tate I think). I just had a strong feeling about his game that week, although I didn't expect his explosion. It was just a good week. If I can get a good defense for one of my bench players I'll be good. |

Davideo7 : I always hold on to my key players while trying to make sure I keep an eye on free agents. I've also never played in a league quite like this one, with quite so many wr/t positions to fill.
legacyme3 : Yeah I saw you had released Woodhead. He's a great running back for 1st and 2nd downs every once in a while, but no Pats running back this season is going to be that good of a start. |

trouble982 :
Yeah, I figured I had a better chance with Ben Tate running the ball. Turns out I was right. Almost makes up for that terrible game I had last week. I forgot to set my lineup and ended up starting 2 or 3 players who missed the game. |

legacyme3 : Haha yeah. I doubt Ben Tate will have a repeat performance this season, but he could be a consistent 6-7 point back.

trouble982 :
That's all I need. With Michael Vick as my QB, I don't have to worry so much about running unless he gets injured *knock on wood* My biggest weakness is my defense, although that's not surprising. |

trouble982 :
Injured to the point of not being able to play. Even at half his skill, I'd rather have him than almost any other QB in the NFL with the exception of Peyton Manning. His ability to both pass and run in the QB slot is invaluable, even if he has a bad week or two. |

legacyme3 : I would rather have Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Aaron Rogers and Phillip Rivers LOOONG before I'd want Vick. He's much to accident prone, and he's a complete @$$. When he was leaving the field injured, he continued to taunt the Atlanta fans, the fans that loved and cared for him before he went to prison, by pointing at the scoreboard. Luckily Atlanta got the last laugh and won
. I really don't like Vick, he probably won't play this week because of his concussion, and I don't think he'll play more than 10 games this season.

trouble982 :
Whether or not he's an ass, it doesn't matter. Being an ass doesn't give or take points, and neither do wins and losses. Individually, I'd take very very very few players over him. If he starts even 12 games for me this season, I'll be happy. I wouldn't take Tom Brady. I don't care if he's good. He was the one player on my do not draft list. He's the one player keeping me from liking the hometown team. |

legacyme3 : You do realize Peyton is probably out for the year? lol.
I agree with trouble982 that Vick is accident prone which lowers his value in my opinion but I don't think he's an a word, if the fans were taunting them than he has all rights to respond. |

Davideo7 :
Well yeah, that's why I put him below Vick and other QBs on my sheet. But in a generic year, Manning is up there, and he's one of the few I'd take over Vick, although even then it's a "wait and see thing". As with him being injury prone, that's just a risk to take. That risk is the difference between being bottom of the barrel and a top contender. |

legacyme3 : Wait....you don't care that Vick is an jerk, but you won't take Tom Brady just because you don't like him? Makes perfect sense
.
Davideo7 : I know people that have met and even had lunch with Michael Vick. He's a jerk in real life. I just don't like the guy. That being said, If I trusted him more not to get hurt, I probably would draft him. But I don't. |

trouble982 :
You are being hypocritical as well =P Vick is as much a jerk as Tom Brady is... I have family that has actually met Tom Brady, and my sister in law Jessie has a picture at a bar or club or something with Tom Brady =| She says he's kind of an ass. I don't see how Vick is an ass really. Aside from that one thing he did that gave him jail time (he's been clean since, and he's been very active in the community as well), he's been pretty much clean. So what if he pointed at the scoreboard... he's a professional athlete, he's allowed to rub it in. It wasn't his fault by any means that the Eagles couldn't hang on. Blame the lack luster defense. |

legacyme3 : I don't know anybody personally that has met Tom Brady. He always seems like a really cool guy during interviews, and that's why I base it on. I know you have family closer to Boston than I do, so you probably know better than I do. But Michael Vick always comes off as a jerk in his interviews. He really rubs me wrong, and I get the feeling that he really isn't sorry for what he did...

trouble982 : Did those guys meet him before or after he served time in prison? Because from what I've seen, he has legitimately changed since.
legacyme3 : I enjoy watching Tom Brady play but I've definitely noticed he's a jerk and can be arrogant. |

Davideo7 at least you lost because you made a "bad" decision I lost because 99% of my roster was injured or got injured in their game. Marion Barber was questionable so was Steven Jackson and neither one played much or at all. My wide receivers all got hurt Miles Austin is out for at least one game. Jenkins who I though Mc Nabb would throw too more didn't do anything and was hurt as well but played. even my starting defense was hurt lol. Baltimore is missing most of their starting line up and we all know that Indy doesn't have a defense so yeah I'm screwed

nah bad luck would be not being able to put out a team for a that week. What is sad is I can't drop most of my injured players so trading them is out of the question no one wants a non-playable players
