What do u do, when the person u like likes your friend! And your friend knows that and tells him to ask u out! And when he does ask you, you know it's just hurting him because he doesn't like you but your friend! Would you say yes, for your own satisfaction? Or no, for his happiness?

If he asks you out then say yes. He probably did it because he liked you and not your friend as you thought. Though if he really did ask you to get closer to your friend, then he is a tool and you should get away from him.

As stated above.i seriously doubt he asked you out because your friend told him.she made it clear you liked him so he wanted to ask you out.

I'd say yes. It gives him the chance to get to know you better and perhaps find out if you are a better match. Also, he wouldn't ask you out if he wasn't just a little bit interested in you... so relax!

Agreed. But if you feel that there is a small part of him that asked you out for the reason you think, just take the relationship slow. There is no need to rush things, so just get to know each other better first. But people typically don't ask to date someone if there is no interest. Just take is slow for a little while. Just as Elara said. If he came to you to ask you out. There's a big chance that he wants to get to know you. The male's feelings are not as simple as you think. We do get nervous of these things too, because we fear we'll get rejected. You friend may told him to come to you. He didn't have to if he had no interest in you. As stated above too, he could be using you to get to your friend, but there's a chance he could be using your friend to get to you and playing as if he has no interest in you. Still, it's not a good way to go about it. Just be honest about it and ask him how he feels about you. If there's a slightest hint he may give away. There's a chance he may want to get to know you just as much you want to get to know him as well. Just stay calm and ask him how he feels about you, but don't suddenly spring it on him. Just slowly go into that.

I would give it a shot.

I've liked plenty of people in the short term.... doesn't mean he's "in love" or anything. Give it a shot. Maybe you'll find you like each other. And maybe you'll realize really quickly that you don't get along that well and you're better off not being together. It might be tough but it'll be worth it.

I agree with just about everyone here. You'll never know where it could lead. If it doesn't work out, at least you'll know. And he didn't HAVE to ask you out - but since he did, he probably has some interest in you. [=

It turned out, when I did say yes, he just used me to get close to my friend... But in the end he still got rejected! >.<
So, since he didn't give up on my friend she started dating someone she actually DOES like. And now when I ask my guy if he still likes my friend, he says he doesn't. But it sure doesn't show on his face at school! Lol
