Right now, I'm listening to an instrumental version of the song called Lilium (which is the opening theme for the anime series called Elfen Lied). Today happens to be one of those days when I would prefer to listen to the instrumental versions of the song rather than the original one with lyrics. ^^0;; Personally, I enjoy the melody for this song a lot more than its actual lyrics, so one might find that I'm constantly listening to various instrumental versions of this song (right now, I just happen to be listening to a violin/fan version of it on YouTube). =) Originally, however, this song was composed by MOKA.

At the moment I'm listening to Onkai Sayokyoku by Kukikodan. These girls (It sounds like 2 of em') have amazing gentle voices. They blend in pretty perfectly with the music in my opinion. They are reaching their intended notes and singing in such a semi casual, down tempo way. The first song I heard by them is actually an instrumental song called "Fushigidane" or something very close to that. I enjoyed it a lot and decided to pursue my interest in the group, but unfortunately I never found a great amount due to language difference. Another thing that adds to the difficulty is you can't really clearly find albums and song names on youtube. (I found them through Google Music). There are however videos and live performances of them, which is nice. Anywho, I get the sneaking suspicion I maybe have, in a brief sentence, mentioned this song in the past, so I will also say what's next;
A oldie called Counting Out Time by Genesis. This song did and has always resonated with me from the moment I heard it. Musically, I feel highly represented in this song (In my own way lol). There's a sound effect towards the end of the song (perhaps done on guitar?) that reminds me so much of Yoshi's (That happens strangely often with me lol). It really hits a pinnacle to me.

I'm listening to some Green Day. American Idiot specifically. One of the best 90-00's rock bands if you ask me!

This would be one of the best bands to hear live for me.

Right now, I'm listening to the song called I Talk To The Rain (by Yuki Kajiura). This song appeared in the anime called Tsubasa Chronicles. I enjoy most of Yuki Kajiura's music (I love the violins  ) and this one is no exception. =) As one could probably guess from listening to the song, the anime series in which this song appeared is kind of sad.

At the moment, I'm listening to some chiptunes! Well, the current song is a chiptune hybrid (actually almost all of this artists songs are a chiptune/jazz hybrid) but close enough for me lol. It's "Oh I Feel Just Fine...(Because I'm Making Macaroni) by PROTODOME. I really enjoy PROTODOME's style and sound a lot. All of the albums are great, and I've heard it mentioned before that they share too many qualities with each other, but I personally like that. They all expand on one another, it's pretty cool.

https://protodome.bandcamp.com/track/oh-i-feel-just-fine-because-im-making-macaroni

So, after I finish listening to this album (I've listened to this particular one several times at a past job) I'm curious to check out a relatively new (to me anyway) release by Kulor, the OST to an unreleased game called Pururnmi. Kulor, is what I would consider a "pure" chiptune artist. Most of their songs are playable on the actual hardware! (Retro game systems). They are very talented in my opinion and really push the boundaries of those old soundcards and chips.
Here is one of my favourites from them called Space Disko. which is actually playable on a NES!

Right now, I'm listening to the music for Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing in the Video Game Music Room. =) I kind of like the song I was listening to...

Super Sonic Racing (Sonic R) from SEGA

It's so upbeat and seems to have a pretty nice message. =)

Hey Bulldog by the Beatles, a really bouncy and kinda nonsensical song. Kinda what sums up their psychedelic period for me along with Strawberry Fields Forever.

Sunshine of Your Love by Cream. Great Blues rock song! Spotify has these Daily Mix things... they chose at least one good song. (Paint it Black just came on, so they are on the right track!)

Right now I'm listening to Don't Stop Me Now by Queen. Definitely a great uplifting and mood-boosting song.

darthyoda : Just a heads up, the Daily Mix is different for everyone because it's based entirely on what music you listened to in the past week.

TheFadedWarrior : I know. But Spotify usually doesn't suggest songs I like, and often the daily mix isn't that good.

I'm now listening to I Saw Her Standing There by the Beatles. It's a great Rock n' Roll song!

I have been on a kick lately with some early 2000s hip-hop. Ludacris, Stand Up, has been in the forefront but I've also mixed in some Rihanna, some other stuff, and it's been fantastic.

The owner already ******ed cause we sorta late

But our time and clothes gotta coordinate.

You can't beat that line. It's hilarious.

Right now, I'm listening to the song called Shiroi Yuki (White Snow), sung by Kuraki Mai. This song was the first ending theme for the anime called Detective Conan, and every time I listen to it, I think of how Ran Mouri (known as Rachel Moore in the English dubs) has the worst boyfriend in the world =P j/k always has to worry about Shinichi and wait for him to return to her in just about every single episode of this series (which is now over 800 episodes).  Even so, I think it's a nice song and I do hope to eventually see Ran end up with Shinichi. =)

I'm listening to "Oak Avenue" by Josh Wilson. I highly recommend it, as it has a very good life lesson in it. Be warned if you do look it up: it will probably make you cry. It's really sad. A quick quote: "Now a chance to make amends, a chance to apologize is a silent echo on Oak Avenue. Why did I wait to say... I'm sorry...I could have told you before Oak Avenue." Yeah it's about not making amends with someone after a fight and rhen they died before he apologized. So beautiful and powerful, but so sad too.

Before that it was "Learn To Listen" by Josh Wilson. It's kind of funny but also has a really good message.

At the moment, I'm listening to the Japanese version of the Burning Rangers theme (I think it's the theme?). I saw the English version of this song in the Vizzed Music Room last week at some point. It's alright, but in my opinion, the vocal style in the Japanese version is far superior. To be honest, I didn't care for the singing in the English one at all, but the song is still pretty awesome. I first heard this quite a while ago, playing Phantasy Star Blue Burst. The people who run that server had pretty dang good taste in music, I gotta say. I've come back to several of the songs they used over the years.

Next up is Sky Heart by Pogo. I had a long past couple of days, and this is definitely helping me settle back in lol. Ahhh Pogo...I gotta say I don't care for his new album much at all. This song on the other hand, is easily one of the songs I've listened to most! (I don't use Apple products anymore, but the feature iTunes had that kept track of how many times you played each song..that was perty neat lol.) It's made up of mostly Jungle Book samples I think.

Right now, I am listening to the song called Memory of Fanelia, composed by Yoko Kanno (who is one of my favorite composers). This song is from the OST for the anime called Escaflowne, and even after all of these years, I still try to listen to it whenever I think of it. lol In a way, I think the song itself tells a story via the instruments...

Yuna1000 :
Wow, that is so gooooooooood! That composer , Yoko Kanno, is very talented! A couple of songs you mentioned in a previous post, Gravity and Kiseki no Yumi, are also composed by her! It's not a great feat of memory on my part, considering I just listened to them all today, but I did happen to notice that! (I'm sure you already know all this lol). I think I like her!

At the moment, I'm listening to movie version of  the theme from Fist of the North Star, Ai wo torimodose. For one reason or another, this show came up in a conversation the other day, so I refreshed my memory on it. (I have not finished it yet, and have not watched it in about 2 years.) The movie version is pretty good, it's very faithful to the original. It's a pretty intense theme song with a wicked guitar solo.
