There are a lot of Internet memes. For me, the words:Mah boi, toaster,Spaghetti (it is a word that Luigi say in Hotel Mario, it become a popular meme), Your face will die, (And even more). Are very weird and stupid (but funny) words. There is over 9000 memes on Internet (Probably not real, but there are a lot of memes)
jajaja (btw if u didn't know, jajaja is Spanish for hahaha) its the internet, memes are like the soul of the internet and if you don't know any, gtfo XD jk.... but like memes don't bother me much, and me and my friends have like inside joke memes of things we see on the web.... like if I go up to my friend and just say Man Boobs, we both will be dying of laughter and like no one gets it but its this long inside joke that involves a pic we saw on the net of a fat dude with breast implants.... it sounds disturbing but it is probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life.
I agree the internet is flooded with stupid memes, I don't like using them, and I never used to, but now every now and again I find my self using "lol", but if it is funny I just try to say haha! or HAHA, or something, lmao, rofl<--- other dumb memes, however the two I don't really hate are roflmfao, and roflcopter, b/c arby and the chief is great.
I admit I use emoticons and "lol" alot, but its probably not in an annoying-type way. I think the most annoying thing someone can comment on any website is "fake & gay", (or any other generic insult) This phrase is rampant on Youtube. I swear you cannot comment on a video without some anynomous jerk saying "pokefaggot", or "oh that's gay". There are real gay people out there and that is an offensive comment, its an equivalent to racism.
Well, for some reason, Internet memes don't annoy me. They seem interesting enough. I even like changing some Chuck Norris facts every now and then with a friend. We talk about video games and we throw in a lot of memes and references, even sometimes when not talking about them, like the arrow to the knee one, when we're talking about Skyrim, or the "That'sssss a nice everything you got there" from Minecraft. Of course, I don't like it when people start spamming them, or just regular spamming, after all. But this is just my opinion, and since I am an Internet 'surfer' I like researching about memes. There's a good site you could use called "Know Your Meme", in case you're curious.
I can tell you a few that get on my nerves. First is its over 9000, there is a joke that says how many memes are there on the internet? Over 9000! The second is the whole rickroll thing, do I even need to explain?

I am so naive when it comes to this kind of thing. I've heard most of what your saying but until I saw this thread I never even heard "meme" before. I still don't get it.
When I signed up for this website I loved the fact that the RULES state to use proper Spelling and Grammer. Also not to abbreviate unless you should. Meaning things like "lol" wouldn't be here.... wish that was truly the case. I was really looking forward to meeting a lot of intelligent people and having nice discussions... and I have. But... this wave of young idiots is to powerful to stop. That is sad...
While were on the subject. If "LOL" is a acronym and stands for "Laugh Out Loud".. Then what does "LOLZ" stand for. At least it made sense before 13 year olds got to it.
I don't really like those picture ones like that table-flipping one. I, like other people, don't really like Chuck Norris meme either. Other then those, I don't mind any of the other ones. Even 9000 is okay.
