That's kinda cool. It looks a lot like Facebook.

Right now, I don't have a lot of problems with the current chat. A few things, like some lag and the inability to ignore people, I have issues with, but not a ton.

If it isn't going to be any trouble on you to do the extra money a month, then I say go for it. I have only used the chat room once near the beginning of my membership here, so I likely won't use it much. But you mentioned that the current one can put unnecessary strain on the site, and this one might help with that, so that is the only thing I look at personally. If the ones who do use the chat like it better, that is all the more reason. But the less strain on the site is something that can benefit everyone.
