I will start by saying that I much prefer the manga books over the anime shows, mainly because the books are usually black and white, and you can pretty much decide which voice would sound best for them.

I like anime more because I watched more anime more than I read manga.

I prefer anime over manga, I don't have the patience to read large blocks of text that often, even if its in a comic book style format.

I prefer watching anime since reading takes more concentration and brain usage, such as processing, memory, and concentration. lol to be honest though anime has so much filler it's wasting time. but oh well

I like the anime than manga the reason is, because anime has voices/scenes/effects/songs. While manga its basically reading and imagining all of the things you want to imagine like the voices/scenes/effect/ etc.

Well I like both animes and mangas, but I prefer anime more. Only because I've got into animes when I was little and found out about mangas as I got older. Not only that, it's nice to see anime characters come to life with color vs black and white pictures with text.

I like english dubbed anime more than japanese recorded anime or manga. I tried watching Bleach in japanese and it got really annoying. Reading a manga is generally rather tedious.

I'd rather read the manga. It's a lot easier to miss something in Anime than in Manga, and as was stated before, you can use your own imagination for certain points if you read the Manga instead of watch the Anime.

I would rather watch anime. I enjoy manga but I like to just sit down and watch.

It doesn't matter to me...as long as it keeps my interest, I'll read the Manga or watch the Anime.

I'f prefer to watch the Anime though.

99% of the time, I prefer the manga because usually the anime ruins the story.

For example, the Hellsing anime completely destroyed the original story. The anime made Seras Victoria a complete pansy who never drank blood when in fact she did drink blood and became a full fledged vampire. Not to mention, about a dozen characters were left out of the anime. (e.g. Pip and Rip Van Winkle)

The manga is almost always how the story was meant to be told. Now there are occasions where the anime is the original story (e.g. Blood+ and Wolf's Rain), but most of the time the anime leaves out or changes things about the story and it's really upsetting.

Wow... anime or manga? That's a tough decision. I think it really just comes down to what I'm in the mood for, since I've seen plenty of both.

With manga, like any book, you have a little more freedom in your imagination. You can decide how characters move between panels, what they sound like, what color they are (because everything Japanese is all about color), and what the sound effects are like. Plus, like Chaos said, 99% of the time, the manga is the original work and contains what the author intended for the story.

Anime seems to be the more popular choice because there's a lot that goes into it. It's bright, colorful (most of the time), and voiced. Sometimes, the voices really fit and they enhance the anime. It's much cleaner than manga, too, and there are some things you can do with anime that you can't do in manga (like OPs and EDs).

So yeah, I can't really decide either. I love both of them just as much and one medium doesn't really dominate the other.

Anime seems more enjoyable for me, Manga isn't too bad, but anime seems more entertaining to me.

I prefer anime as long as I haven't read the manga first. For some reason if I read a manga first, even if I don't enjoy it as much as the show, It just ruins my mood for watching the show.

I like both, actually. =| They both have their perks. Normally, I'd go for the manga because I tend to like books more than movies, but I've seen plenty of anime I love. I can't really choose. They're both great in their own ways.  

I've watched much more anime than I've read Manga. There's only one were I've read the Manga and watched the Anime, and because I get such a preference to the first way the story goes, I thought the Manga was much better. Well, there was also the fact that the Anime messed up someone's name and had a big inconsistency right at the beginning. I'm not sure if it ever got patched up, I only watched 1 episode, because it had terrible pacing, too. So, I guess the answer is, whatever I watch/read first.

I much prefer manga over anime. I can't concentrate on the T.V. for that long, there is just way too many things to distract me.

I personally lean to anime. I don't need to hold a book and can relax while I watch it. Generally I watch dubs so I don't even have to pay really really close attention. I can do one or two other things while watching it and not miss anything.

It really depends. For Bleach, I'd rather watch it, but for Death Note, I'd rather read it.

I would have to say manga on this one. Generally more story/character development compared to the anime.

Anime or manga. Both have their advantages. I prefer anime simply for the fact that they're shows. Moving animations with voices and actions. However, manga almost always last longer than their anime counter parts. Inu Yasha, for example, which I'm sure everyone here has heard of and seen at least one episode. They figured the anime was getting too long, maybe due to financial reasons or whatever, and cut it off. The manga continued long after, but I think that ended a few years ago. Bastard!! is another example.

i prefer anime as long as the artwork is good. most of the time manga artwork is good, so both are okay with me.

I prefer manga because the ones I've read have a better plot compared to the shows (this is my opinion at least). Anime's cool too because it can have an awesome soundtrack.

Going to have to go with Anime. I have nothing against Manga, but I you get a fuller package with anime.

Typically, when there's a manga, I'd rather read it than watch the anime first. Sometimes the anime is better, however, my favourite anime happen to be standalone as in there was no manga prior. That being said, it usually depends but I feel confident in saying that I prefer the manga. As an artist, I really respect the writers/illustrators work.

Also, manga is convenient in that I don't need to focus all of my attention on it, or I can take it with me very conveniently. Since it's a book, there leaves a little more to the imagination.

I personally like Anime better than Manga, but for some, like Rosario+Vampire, I prefer the manga, Nya~.

I've only read a bit of Manga, and I admit I did enjoy it, but anime occupies me more than manga and the story progresses faster.

I mostly watch the anime first but if I want more depth or
truth to the story than I'll pick manga. It's better than the anime
most of the time .

I pick Manga because reading a Manga book feels more realstic and has more depth than watching the Anime.

While I personally would pick Anime, I can definitely see why the large demographic of people would prefer a actual printed novel rather than an animated show. Since not only does manga have a much more detail story lines, and cuts out these so-called, "fillers", but it also continues past the story where-as the Anime would usually stop.

The only problem I have with a printed version of these cartoons, is that the whole atmosphere the animated version can create through the transitions, and music, alone, just reels in my interest. The music composed for Fairy Tail and One Piece is an outstanding example; Yeah, going with the "mainstream", as people call it.

But of-course I do read manga, just not most of the time!

In short, Anime is my preferred form of entertainment.

This is a very hard decision indeed I like both a lot but my favorite anime stopped keeping up with the manga so weather they stopped or are just dubbing as much as they can I really don't know but at the moment I like manga better since I can keep up with the stories of my favorite anime plus it's in English and I don't have to look at sub-titles all the time which is annoying.

for me it depends on the anime/manga i like the dbz anime and i prefer the shaman king manga

i don`t mind reading the manga but  i prefer to watch the anime because i think it`s more interesting and being able to learn japanese too

I would rather watch the anime for something over reading a manga. I like reading and all but I would rather see the characters move versus looking at a page with words and panels.
