Here, I shall describe the many dealings of my uneventful life and chill for a bit while doing so in the next couple of busy weeks.  Beware of possible venting and formal nonsensical ramblings!

Another class went by today and again, I realized that my procrastinating is not paying off.  There are still due dates, assignments, and a heck load of information crammed into this head of mine each day.  Naturally, I'm succumbing to procrastination right now.  Wonderful thing, isn't it?  It seems to come up when I have absolutely everything to do at once.  How convenient.  Please excuse me while I forget to care about my stress.

Anyway, so I was sitting in class today, like I said, and paying attention almost none of the time.  This is why I bring my sketchbook with me:  so that I don't die of total deaded-ness in a classroom full of geeks and nerds.  Occasionally, I will actually have interest in some of the material.  It's a shame that that interest doesn't occur during class.  I think my coffee kicks in after class because I seem to have this tendency to make a mad dash for the door in a wild burst of energy as soon as class is dismissed...to the bathroom, that is, because I had two cups of coffee in the morning and I happen to be cursed with an abnormally small bladder and hyperactive kidneys.  (Yes, I'm sure you REALLY wanted to know that valuable piece of information about me...)

Thanks to an interestingly boring class, I happen to be procrastinating (indeed, I will over-use that word to your great displeasure) and I'm thinking rather analytically at the moment.  That's what analyzing language data does to you:  it makes you think analytically.  Go figure.

So now that I've bored all of you readers with monotonous rubbish, I should also like to mention that I went for a jog today.  Unfortunately, it wasn't raining.  I don't like running when the weather is hot and muggy.  I'd rather it be sunny or rainy.  Sunny to get a tan and enhance my wicked tan lines and rainy to cool me down.

Believe me when I say that my blog entries won't sound anything like this in the future unless I feel like an analytical moron in need of some serious procrastination while I'm forgetting about the stress when I have absolutely everything do to at once.

In other words, I'm doing great today.  How are you all doing?

Aw heck, you sound much like me. While my college classes do not start up for a few weeks, I am procrastinating on reviewing my work --classes which I will be taking a higher level in, soon. Procrastination seems to be the result of stress very often. If fact, it has cost me my grades multiple classes. In other news, I have been trying to get into the habit of at least walking around my neighborhood for exercise --not sure whether to call is successful.

AuraBlaze : Procrastination sure is a stress causer.  Walking is so successful.  At least you're out doing something.  Sometimes, I really have to pull myself away from my computer and take a breath of fresh air.

tRIUNE : I'm so glad you enjoyed it.  I sometimes find comical relief in my stressful situations.

Now to describe in boring detail the events of last night and this morning...beware of potential venting and utmost useless blabbering.

What were they again?  Oh right, procrastinating.  Well, you see, I had a fair bit of homework to do last night and I managed to finish the stuff that was due today.  You'd think that because I'm such a keener, I'd start working on my huge project that's due next week on Tuesday.  Nope, not a chance.  Watching Megamind was so much more rewarding.  "Olo!"

I'd like to let y'all know that I like sleep.  Not that you care, but I'm telling you anyway.  Sleep is fabulous, very rewarding sanity-wise, and a wonderful time-passer.  I prefer to get 8 hours of sleep to the great shock and dismay of those who get 2 hours of sleep or less.  Actually, I would rather get 9 hours of sleep as it's more ideal.  I would have gotten this wonderful amount of sleep had it not been for the loud-mouthed landlords that live upstairs.  Apparently, it's a good idea to invite friends over until late on a weeknight.  How this idea fits into logic is beyond me.  So I ended up staying up until at least 1am.  My frustrations regarding their rude behaviour in this matter still stand strong.  I can't understand what my roommate went through as she had to wake up at 5am this morning for a 12-hour shift at the hospital.

Well, now that I got that out, I'll switch to my slow-moving morning.  I rolled out of bed at 8:45 or so, got dressed and made coffee.  My coffee was especially good, so I had two cups...well, more like one and a half.  Very wonderful, especially with the preferred amount of cream and sugar.  Sugar and cream are good because cream smooths out the strength and sugar downplays the bitterness a bit.  Now I'm no coffee expert, nor do I have more than a cup and a half a day, which is still quite a lot, but...well, I really don't know where I was going with that statement.

So, to wrap up this blog entry without actually wrapping it up in anything material-wise--which may not be wrapped up or finished or what have you any time soon as I tend to be a blabbermouth--I survived another hour and twenty minutes of lecture and debate.  And once class was dismissed, I rushed again to the bathroom and drove to the gas station.  Now I'm sitting at home, having just finished eating a salad and about to have a delectable cup of tea and listening to Cosmic Girl by Jamiroquai.  Honestly, that song makes me feel like a disco star.

I just realized how long this entry is.  Cheers to you who actually get through reading it.

I have to agree with you, I don't like running unless it's raining really. I run regardless, but I like it when it rains. So much more fun.

Tonight, I'm filled with cares and woes as I look from my bank account to my first payment for university.  I'd like to have only that to worry about, but I have a 15 page paper due on Tuesday and an exam next week.  At least I can handle the paper and exam; as for the payment...well, things aren't looking.  I'm trying to cheer myself up to write something incredibly witty and sly, but it most certainly isn't happening right now.  My student loans are certainly taking a darn long time to get to me.  Apparently, my application's still pending.

So as if I wasn't stressed enough as it is, I played 4 hours of Tetris for NES today on vizzed.  It is truly one of the most addicting games I have ever played and one of my favourites.  I still can't beat level 9, which is utterly frustrating, but I'm determined to beat that sucker if it's the last thing I do!  I like how that game only uses a few select buttons, not all those c-thinga-ma-jiggers like for N64 and the Y and X buttons for SNES.  It's quite nice.

My landlords who live upstairs are the loudest people in the history of loud people.  The lady yaps like there's no tomorrow and repeats herself like she's some deranged canary, all three of them (including their one-year-old child) walk like elephants, and the daughter says hi and screams like a parrot that doesn't have an off button.  I was having the greatest dream this morning about scoring a couple of goals in a soccer game when I woke up to "Aaaah, hi...hi...hi...hi...hi..." followed by the pitter-pattering of that kid's feet back and forth from the kitchen to the playroom and back, and her dropping things right above my room with a huge "BOMP, BOMP!!!"  Not the greatest thing to wake up to at 7:30 in the morning.

That's how I started my day along with a couple of cups of coffee and a stupid paper to figure out.  After examining five pages of language data that's somewhat related to Turkish for the entire course, I now have to explain how the language works, from the sound configurations to the grammar.  It's nothing short of lame.

D_Man : This is a summer class for my degree at university.

Yesterday, I did homework.  Today, I did homework and I'm possibly gonna do some more after I take a break.  Tomorrow, I'm gonna start studying for my exam.  Friday, I'm going home to visit my family.

...and that pretty much sums up my life.  How lame!

I can't bloody well catch fish!  My keyboard doesn't like me and Zelda: Ocarina of Time glitches every now and then, to my great horror.  I'm one of those cheaters who's fed up with trying to play games on my own, so I look up walkthroughs in order to get everything and accomplish everything the first time without dying.  But gosh darn it, I sure wish I could catch fish!  They keep getting away on me.  I think it has everything to do with the game and nothing to do with my technique or my keyboard.  Yep, that's it.  It's the game.  I'm not too excited at going into Jabu Jabu and rescuing that snobby little stuck-up princess Zora girl.  She's a royal pain; I'm sure Link agrees with me on that one.  What guy would want an engagement stone from a freaky fish girl?  Well, I'm a girl, so I don't have the same publicity problems that Link has.  Poor guy.  All those fan girls chasing after him and being pressured into marrying when he's only a kid.  That's gotta suck.

I keep fantasizing about Tetris and hopefully, I will beat level 10 someday.  I play it so much that when I close my eyes to go to sleep at night, I keep seeing blocks fitting into one another for the absolute perfect combination.  It's sad, really.  I can play hours of Zelda and not have any weird dreams about it, but I can play Tetris for half an hour and think about it all the time.  How does that work exactly?  By means of repetition?

I'm totally in for NOT doing homework today, but that's not probable as I have my 15 page paper due tomorrow.  So just to enhance my academic insanity, I'm gonna go play some more Tetris.

Tetris is good. Tetris is a life skill.
Yeah, your first post must have been a recreation of what you were hearing in class as it was very monotonous, apart from the coffee and bladder stuff, that oddly caught my interest. The second one I could relate to, only the other way around. I only play Zelda for a short amount of time then I.....Hang on *turns to Ocarina of Time and plays for an hour* Where was I? Ah yes, I only play for a short time, but I can't stop thinking how great a game it is. Hang on *turns to Ocarina of Time again and plays for another two hours* Curse you Water temple! Oh what? I've been playing for ages? Oh how rude of me, just a second *turns to Ocarina of time and plays for another hour* There. Oh maybe that's why I can't stop thinking about it....
Although I'm not sure Ruto gets the idea of things. Links a human.....your a Zora. What would their child be? A quarter fish and three quarter human? How odd....
Yeah, I'm favoring this to see what else you write....Sorry for my own rambling =P

Darkpower508 : That explains how boring my class was...See how addicting Zelda: Ocarina of Time is?  I'm not the only one!  Yeah, if Ruto and Link got hooked up (Oh that'd be awful!), I think it'd be half and half.  A human with fins, gills, and scales...and hair!  Lots of golden locks.  That'd be kinda creepy actually.  Your ramblings are highly welcome.  They make me feel not as crazy and insane as I could be.

So for today, I have awesome news:  MY STUDENT LOANS APPLICATION GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!  Now all I have to do is send my master agreement thing-a-ma-jigger in to the university and I'm all set!  Soooooooo happy 'cause the payment deadline for my September classes has already passed and I've been waitlisted.  As if that wasn't good enough, my dad will need me to help out in the office for a few days next week, which means a few extra bucks in my pocket for food and other life-important things.

That was the good news.  Now for the bad news.  I just found out that my exam that was supposed to be on Friday was bumped to tomorrow at 8am!  8 freakin' AM!!!  Honestly, I'm not looking forward to waking up that early.  Now I have one less day to study for my exam.  The good part about that is that it'll be done and over with early, so I have the rest of the day to bum around and do nothing...or play Zelda:  Ocarina of Time.  I started playing Snowboard Kids 2 and drawing the characters.  Gosh, that game takes me back to my young years!  I love those characters, so I drew 'em.  Unfortunately, they aren't scanned and uploaded or anything, so y'all can't see 'em.  Guess that sucks to be you, eh?

Anyway, I went on a drawing spree last night with the full knowledge that I would have two whole days to study.  Here's one of the pics I drew that pretty much sums up my experience in university to date.  If I'm not as technologically challenged as I think I am, it might just load properly!

Japxican : Congrats on the Student Loan, but sorry to hear about the exam being bumped earlier. Best of luck. The picture didn't really load on your post, but I right-clicked it and choose "view image" and eureka, I found it. Gave me a giggle and the art wasn't half bad. Now back to Zelda. They way you described the child of Ruto and Link accurately sound cool. Like a Zora only with golden locks of hair. That might accurately work. I wonder what that would look like? *imagines* Oh, really? That's it? Just a Zora with hair? I was expecting something a little more....handsome, or a different type of Zora....Are we actually discussing this? Um, well I'm er....well, yes, yes we are. Unless you have anything to add to that.

I like crispy minis.  Goodness gracious do I ever like crispy minis.  Not necessarily the cheddar kind, which I happen to eating right now, but crispy minis in general are just great.  I also like non-fat chai tea lattes and I had one today at work.

Work?  Oh yeah, maybe I should update a bit on my life since I haven't been posting in a while.  I had my final exam on Thursday morning at 8am which was a bit too early for my liking.  Somehow, I managed to roll out of bed and mozy on over to the coffee machine that morning.  After my exam, I spent the rest of the day playing games online.  That much was fabulous.  The next day, I finished packing and went to get a free lunch at the end ceremony for summer linguistics students.  I wore my cowboy hat and got a fair bit of attention.  I actually met a few people that I had no idea were in my class for the whole two months.  Just goes to show how much I pay attention.  So I got my paper back all marked with lots of comments and things, and my final mark, which was a B+.  I was pretty happy with that.  Then, I drove home, which was a wonderful drive as I sang my heart out to my music about half of the way there, ending up with a sore throat by the time I reached Williams Lake.

Ah, Williams Lake:  the city that acts like a hic town.  Gotta love it.  I've just been bumming around for that past few days.  My dad needed me in the office because he didn't have a secretary today, so I got to make some money.  So I might as well mention that my profs emailed me on the weekend and told me that my mark was calculated incorrectly and I actually got an A-.  That made me incredibly ecstatic!  Of course, I told everybody and I'm mentioning it here 'cause it's freakishly awesome and I'm proud of myself.

So there you have it, the watered down version of my weekend.  For those of you who don't care, good for you.  For those of you who cared enough to read all this, that's just peachy.  I might as well end this post with some very important words of wisdom:  check for spiders before you eat the raspberries!

I don't like crispy mines. Not really interesting to me. I prefer Skips. Anyway, congrats on your exam. A- is something I would only dream of. Well, you can now relax with all those exams over. Good luck with finding a job.

What are crispy minis? A chai tea latte sounds good, but it's late for me. Your final exam reminds me of mine from earlier this summer. Just like the midterm, I took some time to refresh my memory on some of the questions with a classmate. Let me tell you. Take the time to study with a classmate; it can make a world of difference in your confidence and your grade. Anyway, I new I was going to pass the class, but I was hoping I could pull it off with an overall of A. I knew I was going to get a few of the questions wrong, and I was not sure about how my essay would turn out. I tried out the extra credit feeling good about four of the five answers from it. I got my exam in the mail and found out I finished with the maximum of 100 points (perfect score). The extra credit made up for the few wrong answers in the main part. Jaxpican, if you read through this, does this need to be in my own blog? I must be over-explaining myself again. Basically, I'm in the same spot as you; did better than expected.

I'm alive!  Oh good gosh, I'm still alive, it's amazing!  No traumatic accidents for me; it's just been a crazy semester.  Am I allowed to revive this blog thread thing?  Maybe I should check out the FAQ for the millionth time.  My memory's pretty ridiculous.  I'd rather post here than make a new thread about the exact same thing.

Well, I'm in the thick of yet more homework, naturally, and I'm having some issues analyzing this language.  The problem is that it's not really set in stone and incredibly different from English (okay, there are a lot of languages that are different from English, but still...).  I thought I'd take a break and come back to this site.  It's been a while.  I haven't been playing too many games lately because I've been focusing so much on school.  That's probably a good thing...

I'm going to apply for the JET program.  Hopefully, I can get into it for next year.  The application process is a bit crazier than normal because there's a lot to be done, but I'm certainly going for it.  I've always wanted to go live in Japan and teaching English over there would be the best way at the moment.  I've heard from a lot of people that it's a memorable experience, so I'm hoping that it'll be the same deal for me.  Speaking of which, if you had the opportunity to go work over in Japan, would you live in a big city like Tokyo or Osaka or would you live in a small town?  Personally, I'd live in a small town because huge cities scare the daylights out of me.  I get lost enough in Vancouver, B.C., and the driving there is not too fun (and I like driving!).  So I figured, if I wanted to live over there long-term, I'd start off in a smaller town, learn the language and culture, and then move to a bigger city if the opportunity arises.  What would you do?

I've gotta get back to my "wonderful" (cue intense sarcasm) assignment because it's due tonight at midnight.  I should make a note of updating this blog more often.  I miss writing all about me. lol

I've always wanted to go to China (having missed a chance last year for some odd reason). Well, gl with you assignment and all that. Hope to read more soon =D

Darkpower508 : China would be my third choice of places to teach English.  South Korea second.  I heard South Korea's the best place to go, but I like Japan more, having been there twice.  Why'd you miss out on going to China?  Or should I even ask?

Time changes usually mess me up, but today it wasn't so bad since I save an hour.  That means I got an extra hour to enjoy my coffee this morning...not that I had to go anywhere.  I have to write an essay for the JET program application.  Easier said than done since I want to sound at least a little professional.  I find that when I have to write about these kinds of things, I tend to go brain-dead.  It's not that I can't write, it's that I can't seem to get my thoughts to flow smoothly on paper.  I decided to start on the essay instead of homework.  Homework's important and all, but I have to get this application done as soon as I can...and let's face it, homework sucks.  I got that one assignment done, but I don't think I did too well on it.  You know that feeling when you hand something in, but fear the worst?  Yeah, that's me right now.  If only work didn't exist...

I'm in a real daydreaming mood right now, which is more helpful for procrastination than anything and a HUGE time waster.  What would be another time waster is going for a jog right now.  That's a good idea, actually.  Do any of you exercise?  Jogging's a good stress reliever.  It's also a good escape for daydreaming and listening to music while having nobody around.  Gets me off my butt and doing something somewhat productive, too.  I'm a little scatter-brained, so I'm going out.  Thought I'd drop a line here 'cause apparently I have "nothing better to do".

Japxican : The trip to China was a school trip. I think I missed it because I was at the F.E school at the time -.-

Still, good luck with your assignment....and I don't really exercise that much. Although I do a little Parkour (street running) every now and then.

Hopefully, this will be a longer post.  I have about 30 min. to get my thoughts down here in a relatively orderly fashion...whatever THAT is.  Hereinafter, I will describe the activities of this last weekend, paying particular attention to the driving portion of it.

In short, I went home on the weekend.  For those of you who want to know the details, keep reading.  For those of you who don't care, go find another thread!

Friday morning, I packed up my car with everything a girl can think of to take home for a weekend, picked up a guy from my church who needed a ride home, and drove off in the rain.  All was fine and dandy:  my travel companion and I discussed university life, the music played in the background, and my car was quite content.  About half an hour into the trip, the rain increased, pelting down, falling like cats and dogs, or horses and cows, whichever way you want to look at it.  My windshield wipers were on the highest speed and I still could barely see the car in front of me.  My windshield had the most sinister idea of fogging up on me, so I successfully battled that with the defrost setting of the fan.  Reluctantly, I was forced to reduce my speed due to this dysfunctional weather as I had no control over its ridiculous natural temper tantrum.  At last, after about 45 min., the rain died down, still spitting with the effects of sniffling tears.  The weather cheered up about 4 hours into the trip.  Meanwhile, the music is playing and my companion and I are talking about university life...what else do students talk about, eh?  We were about two hours from home when the sleet came.  Now I can handle a little sleet, but a blizzard of it?  The roads were slushy and icy, the sleet was coming down like whales and dolphins, or crocs and alligators, whichever way you want to look at it, and the sky was getting dark.  I might also add that I didn't have winter tires on my car.  So there we were, driving at about 70/80km per hour on the highway with pathetic headlights and having to endure some very temperamental weather.  Instead of the usual six hours, it took seven just to get home.  How lovely.

The trip back on Sunday was a little more inviting.  The only problem is when it started to get dark.  My headlights are pretty pathetic and the inside of my windshield was a little dusty.  Kinda sucks when you can't see anything when cars are passing you on a windy highway and it just so happens to be raining.  I pulled over to wipe my windshield with my sleeve, which didn't help too much because a streaky sort of sheen was left on it.  I also wiped my headlights, but they're naturally pathetic anyway.  So I started driving along, rain pelting down, light glaring on my windshield and my headlights are picking up signs a mile away while only showing a few feet of road in front of me.  New pavement would be a lot easier to see if it wasn't black.  Yet we made it back to campus in good time.  I had to do homework after that tiring drive.  Not very cool at all to have a presentation the next day after Fall "Break".

So that's my traveling weekend.  My mom stuffed me full of more food than you can imagine on Saturday and I got barely any homework done.  The weekend was way too short!
