epicpokenerd! : Well if you would have read the article which was not that long so I can not understand why you would not... you would see that our price is going down to 169$ from the previous 250$. You can do the math.
BNuge : I think you are the only one getting deja vu. I think that this is nintendo once again f'ing with their fans. I do not count the games I will be getting worth anything. I would rather have them give me more import s***. I am really mad at nintendo right now.
xfighter1138 : That is true but like I said above I have played all of them a whole crap ton. They are being fair I guess but for me a life long fan of them, I have played their back library and it seems to easy for them. I am just picky.
"I think that this is Nintendo once again f'ing with their fans."
How is this f*ing with fans? They are lowering the price so more "fans" will buy it, which I consider a good thing, and then they are giving 20 free games to people who bought it before the price drop. I consider the price drop to be due to the lower than expected system sales, and the 20 free games aren't necessary they are just doing a service to their fans.
I bought my 3DS for full price and I am not mad about this at all, in fact I am excited for the 10 GBA games, since I never owned a GBA. Can you tell me why a price drop is a bad thing? Sure you paid more than some one who will buy it after august 12th, but if you seriously expect Nintendo to keep the same price through a systems lifetime then I would say you need to look at the history of console/handheld prices. Price drops aren't exclusive to video games , virtually all electronics have them, and also other industries such as auto motives. If you don't want the free games, I don't think you will be forced to download them.
For any one too lazy to read the article here are the free games you get. They have only announced 10 of the 20, 5 of them being NES and 5 being GBA games.
Super Mario Bros. Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3
Donkey Kong Jr. Mario Kart: Super Circuit
Balloon Fight Metroid Fusion
Ice Climber WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$
The Legend of Zelda Mario vs. Donkey Kong
The article also says Nintendo isn't planning on selling the GBA games to people who buy the 3DS after the price drop. So you won't be able to get those 10 games if you buy a 3DS after August 12. I know I am stoked for the games, especially Metorid Fusion.
smotpoker86 : I, a life long Nintendo fan have played all of those games. I am talking about hard core fans, like me, that are too stupid too see when Nintendo poops in our faces and calls it gold. These fans have already played these games and own the system, THESE are the fans who are mad.
