Am I the only one getting déjà vu from this? Didn't Apple do the exact same thing with the Iphone or Ipad or something like that? They massively dropped the price the day after it came out. I don't care for the DS systems, so this doesn't really affect me.

How is this f*ing with fans? They are lowering the price so more "fans" will buy it, which I consider a good thing, and then they are giving 20 free games to people who bought it before the price drop. I consider the price drop to be due to the lower than expected system sales, and the 20 free games aren't  necessary they are just doing a service to their fans.

I bought my 3DS for full price and I am not mad about this at all, in fact I am excited for the 10 GBA games, since I never owned a GBA. Can you tell me why a price drop is a bad thing? Sure you paid more than some one who will buy it after august 12th, but if you seriously expect Nintendo to keep the same price through a systems lifetime then I would say you need to look at the history of console/handheld prices. Price drops aren't exclusive to video games , virtually all electronics have them, and also other industries such as auto motives. If you don't want the free games, I don't think you will be forced to download them.


For any one too lazy to read the article here are the free games you get. They have only announced 10 of the 20, 5 of them being NES and 5 being GBA games.

For me, it's a good thing because I haven't bought my 3DS yet. I hope this will cause Nintendo's sales to start climbing again.

I can feel your pain, billy. I have many of the games they're offering as well, and I would not like the fact that I've paid $80 more just to get games I already have.
