Over the past month the Wii's Virtual console has introduced two new systems. Both of most of you didn't play as a kid.

The first is the Neo Geo. It had some of the best fighters around back in the day. Games like Fatal Fury were born on it. The system cost something like $600 when it came out (around 91 or 92 I think). Furthermore each game could cost between $150 and $200. Needless to say it didn't sell very many.

The other system is the Turbographics CD, I believe it was an add on to the TG 16. I'm not exactly sure what great games came out on it, but it's interesting to have more systems available none the less.

Now all we gotta hope for is Sega CD games.

Forgot to mention that the Wii's VC is also getting some import games.

Sin and Punishment and Super Mario Bros. 2: The Lost Levels are the biggest so far. The Lost levels is the original NES version. To me the Super Mario All-Stars versions were all a bit floaty for the controls.

I remember the Neo Geo, it's a bit cheaper now days but yeah, was insanely expensive, my dad owned one for a while. Very cool that some games will be added to the Virtual Console especially since the Virtual Console will actually make these games available and affordable.

And yeah, Turbo Graphics CD was an addon to the Turbo Graphx (just like the Sega CD was to genesis). I use to have a Turbo Graphx CD but I had like only 2 games for it.

A lot of people don't like Sega CD but there were a few games on that system which left me pretty good memories. We'll see, I'm sure it'll also be added to the collection.

I think Sega CD is the most likely one. If you go back any further all you have is Atari and stuff like that.

Anything after the Sega CD, like the Saturn and I think game sizes start to get too big. Nintendo is going to have to do something about memory space. My Wii is almost out of room.

But yeah Neo Geo games are $9 a piece. Very cool considering their former prices.

Exactly, $9 is a sweet deal.

Sega CD games are a little big though, how much does your Wii have for space?

The Virtual Console is basically just meant for 8 and 16 bit games (with an exception to the neo geo which was 24 bit I think). I'm sure it's just a matter of time until they have some games for every 8 and 16 bit game system.

N64=/= 8 or 16 bit.

Neo Geo games were pretty big, but they are compressed quite a bit.

The Wii has 512 MB of Flash memory.

Oh right, I forgot about the N64...well in that case, I see no problem with Sega Saturn, they couldn't be to much larger than the average N64 game.

Well generally from what I've heard, most CD games are bigger due to their music. So I think a big part of it would be taken away by compressing the music.

Most likely, there's a lot of things you can do with a Wii. My dad has one and I've used it a few times, hopefully if I win my Fantasy Football tournament I can use the winning money to buy myself a Wii.

My brother in law has his Wii and PS3 online and can browse the internet on it. My fav hand held console is definatly the DS, but for station console, xbox 360 FTW.

Although, Wii does have the aweseome interactiveness.

Yeah that's what all the extra space is for.

360 has nothing that interests me all that much at the moment.
