In the good old and wonderful C-64 times I really missed not a single game the then renowned software forge Hewson. While the games of producer's characterized not only by a clean technical implementation but by an extremely high level of difficulty. Great graphics, paired with a grand musical accompaniment drew us however always again even if you knew in advance that you would regret buying too soon because of the inhuman heavy, partly unfair game principle. And up to a handful of exceptions are mostly confirmed this. One of these amazing goes by the name "Eliminator" and boasts a simple, but extremely fresh and entertaining game play.

During an alien conflict it is in this game with the title killer machine on various cosmic roads. These are like threads through the vast space and are far from ordinary expect of a street but rather different roller coaster tracks. It is times left, times right, times leisurely, times sharply off or upwards, until one suddenly from nowhere collides emerging barrier and thereby loses one of the few lives. And that's good, otherwise it would be so boring. It is with his slightly slow to the joystick movements spacecraft to survive all eight stages which offer many surprises. The aforementioned barriers appear in various formations and leave enough room evasion at least in the first level. However, a precise approach is vital from the second game section. As long as it rushes down shows the obstacles in advance so that you have enough time for fine tuning. The upside sections it depend on luck since the deadly barriers appear so suddenly that one is left with no time to react. "Eliminator" mutates into an effective memory test. A cheerfully placed water fall that cuts the line of the second level, confirms this impression. The water to be our heavy equipment directly, self-evident, so you always must consider crossing the occasionally emerging jump ramps where continuing. A wrong decision can bounce a mostly on an impermeable barrier. As in the first level a forward-looking style help here mostly because the foresight for C 64 ratios is quite impressive. In the third level you get it with the mirrored circuit in the form of a roofing to do, which is also accessible by the picking of the matching item. Here you must already know in advance whether it is better to stay up or down. The subsequent game section presents itself with two water ramps as soft since the upward trending sections be invoked more often. But don't worry, because that is yet long not the tip of the iceberg. Sometime you get it: with all four barriers to do! So far, but few succeed. Most are already throw the towel in the second level. Memorizing the routes and the exact query of slightly fuzzy control make it easy anyone where to fix at least the first problem by mapping of individual routes.

To make matters worse it is harassed by opponents fire or get it on a collision. While the first case because an energy large and slowly automatically regenerate when the second end fatally. Fortunately you can shoot itself. The ammunition supply is limited so you should use the fire button with caution. Regularly dive in two pyramid-like items that give us a new weapon or provided the ammunition supply according to your choice. The arsenal of weapons ranging from double, sew and air shots against flying enemies destructive smart bomb. You can switch at will between different arms, losing one with loss of life but the last. Survival in space is just not easy even with an invincible spacecraft, if you believe the instructions give would.

With "Eliminator" be an interesting game that something of a shooter and a racing game, but ultimately prove a leg-hard game of skill. Just expect otherwise from Hewson. Nevertheless a lot of fun. This may be a good graphic, thanks to it is absolutely ingenious music for the maniacs of noise but mainly. The game has three different tracks, but each one is a small masterpiece for itself. Therefore the game despite all failures and frustration experiences is fun again. The way itself is the goal here and this one is pretty cool, both playful and visually, but very very musical.

The passwords are a bright spot, betrayed with a little luck at the end of a level.
