I only have a few suggestions, but they should help; they're all RPGs though.

Try these games:

Rogue Galaxy
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy XII

These were pretty good, in my opinion. Rogue Galaxy is a must play, but keep in mind that the learning curve for Rogue Galaxy is HARD. Just so you're warned.

I'd recommend fighting games for PS2 cause they're the best! Games such as Marvel Vs. Capcom (All of them) Grand Theft Auto (All of them) Bloody Roar (All of them) Tekken (All of them) Tomb Raider (All of them) Virtual Fighter (All of them) Resident Evil (All of them) and Dragonball Z. Any or all games are fun to play.

Well it depends on what genres you like and if you don't own these titles already. Though I recommend the following.

Action/Adventure: Devil May Cry 1 and 3, Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, God of War series, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Outbreak file 1/2 ,Okami, Onimusha 3 and 4, Tenchu Wrath of Heaven, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts,Splinter Cell, GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas (a lot more in this category that's too long to list lol)

Fighting: Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, Tekken series, King of Fighters 02/03 and XI, Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3(pretty good)

Sports: depends on what you like (I don't play much sports games)

Racing: Need for Speed, Midnight Club, Gran Turismo

Those are my recommendations.
However, if you dislike Turn-based games or games where you move on a grid during battle, then don't bother with persona or disgaea.And if you happen to dislike JRPGs all together, then I've got nothin' for ya.

The only games I have for PS2 are Final Fantasy X and X-2, and Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2.  Out of all of them, I'd have to say my favourite by far is Kingdom Hearts 2.  The only thing is that in order to understand the story in that game, you've got to play 1 and Chamber of Secrets (or whatever it's called; I've actually never played that one).  I've never beaten either of my Final Fantasy games, but if you like those RPG's that take forever to beat, then go with those.
