Since the spell check has been added, has anyone notice an increase in quality of the average post?  Specifically posts made by newbies?  I've noticed an overall quality increase but just in case I'm imagining it, I wanted to get other opinions.

I'm seeing a slight boost.

If nothing else, the new post editor makes doing a lot of things easier.

It also is very handy for placing code.

The Spell checker has helped me get some mistakes out, because my Firefox spell checker really sucks. However it is impossible for my to line break if I use the spell checker, so I can only use it on generally smaller posts that don't have line breaks.

I haven't been on Vizzed long enough to actually notice the increase, mostly because the feature was added on my third day on the site. *Chuckle*. I still notice a lot of newbies completely ignoring the spell checker unfortunately.

Then they probably have enough posts to where they're not required to use it anymore. Even if they've only been here for a few days.

Vincent Swiftstrike : Newbies are actually forced to spell check.  I didn't know about the line break thing with the spell check, it removes all the line breaks?

I've been noticing it boasting up as well. Finally I can actually read the posts and not having to go over it again to understand what they are saying. I still haven't used he spell checker myself, but things are looking better now that you installed the spell checker.

Yes I have seen the post quality go up because of it. Though it has not affected me because I have Google Chrome to tell me my mistakes. Great addition none the less.

Yeah, I do see the post quality increase in the users on the site, especially the newbies, but I dont use it, because, like billy said, I use Google Chrome and it always spell checks for me before I post.

I think there is a slight increase in quality, generally.
The truth is that I find it very useful, because I always check google, when I don't remember how to spell a word, but this way, it's easier for me and I guess also for other non-native English speakers.

Davideo7 : I actually told you this before in another topic but it might have been hard to read because I was forced to spell check back then, therefore everything was bunched together. It would delete the line breaks, or simply just not take them into consideration, or something along the lines. There were even some posts I tried to fix with editing but some didn't even fix after editing, yet at the same time some did. *Shrug*I'm making this post with the spell checker on the site, so you will see how it turns out.I don't know if this may be a reference to anything, but I'm using Mozilla Firefox 4. The spellchecker was all glitchy with the formats of my posts on Firefox 3 as well.Any post I did make without line breaks turned out just fine however.

At least it seems I can line break this one after editing with the spell checker, but I'll leave the post as it is just for reference.

I see some increase but I think some people don't even look at what the spell checker is correcting like summons but other than that not as many errors and such
