Here's a list of potential features that may get added within the next few months:
-Netplay (to allow users to play multiplayer games online together)
-Save File auto backup (basically every time you save your game, a backup is created)
-Highscore Mode (make it so users can compete for high scores in the rgr games)
-Video Recording (let users record their gameplay)
-Full screen mode
-Spectator (ability to let people watch you play your games and to watch others)
-Better N64 emulation

Fixes that are needed:
-Some GBA games not working or troubles saving
-GB and GBC games constantly trying to upload save files
-If a game fails to download, it should automatically try and redownload
-More N64 Plugins so that there's better N64 game support
-Fix the issue with some GBA games that give the '1 MB Circuit Board error'
-Sometimes save files fail to download or upload, it should automatically retry
-Sometimes the rom fails to download or the downloaded file gets corrupted so attempt to redownload it and delete the current if it didn't download fully
-I'd like for that IE safe mode issue to be fixed
-It seems like sometimes it's not taking a users save state from the server.  Like if they switch machines, they can no longer get their save state, I'm not sure if this applies for all the systems or not.
-It seems like some RPG games for the GBA either have troubles starting up, freeze up at a certain point or have troubles saving, i could probably get more details on this later
-Fix issue when taking screenshot of an N64 game, it posts a screenshot for a different N64 game

-Famicom Disk System
-Arcade (mame)
-DOS
-Turbo Grafx

If anyone has any ideas for other features you'd like to see added to the RGR plugin, please recommend them.  Do not recommend game systems though.

But yeah, to be honest, the N64 emulation seriously needs to be using Project 64 instead of 1964.

the_casualty : Project 64 isn't open source so we're stuck with 1964.  With the right video plugins though, 1964 can be almost as good, also 1964 has netplay but I don't think Project 64 does so that's one of the few pros that it has over Project 64.  I'm actually going to be investing possibly up to $1500 into the RGR Plugin sometime this summer so some of these features may get implemented

Oh, ok, that sounds good then. The N64 part of the plug-in actually never lagged for me, however I've heard it has for others. As long as you can make it work, I think we'll be ok.

I am wondering how you go about adding video recording, I wish I knew more about how to do that, will it use utilize one of the many web plugins that people can download? ie divx, real, quicktime, media player, vlc......

UserMike : To be honest, I'm not sure how this will work yet.  The videos would either only be playable using the RGR plugin or they'd be exportable like the screenshots and probably in a video format that is most common such as AVI or MPEG.

Netplay, Video Recording, and Full Screen would be pretty cool if the RGR Plugin has that.

Something if it  is at all  possible using the plug in by Darkman  made to use the mouse for N64 shooters I think if this could be added it would take a lot of stress away from shooter fan's who can't use a  game pad and wants to play like Golden eye and such

What I would like to see would be some PlayStation 1 Emulations. I have been told that MegaMan Legends on the PS1 is the best, and currently MegaMan 64 don't work for me.

Is you having full control over the display causing me to not be able to play gba games in full screen cause if you can play gba games in full screen that'd be lovely

I think that NetPlay and Full Screen are the most wanted features, because we've been thinking about them for a long time now. NetPlay would be really awesome, and draw so much attention to the site, because being able to do all we already do, PLUS being able to play childhood games with a friend ONLINE. That's huge. Full screen also helps a lot because that small window we have hardly cuts it sometimes if you really want to get into the game.

Netplay and save file auto backup sound like they could solve a lot of problems.

I added some more items to the bug list.  If I'm forgetting any bugs that need to be fixed, please let me know and I'll add them and hopefully we'll get them fixed within the next RGR Plugin update.

Wow, all these features are going to be a big difference.  I talked to you about the Highscore Mode. I would love to see that it would be playable to playing people online.  The video recording will be awesome cause it ca be easier to explain to things that you want to tell people what happened in a game.  I give you support for all this.  Hope this happens.

Davideo7 :  I am sorry, I am a 17 year old dude that is broke all the time.  It is hard to find jobs here and the only time I get money is my birthday or Christmas and I would want to use it for things that I want.  I'm sorry, I can't seem to have the extra money laying around. Davideo7 :  Basically play Wii games and get on here posting game reviews lol.  Some of the games I review are based off my Wii cause I play the roms on my Wii.  Some of the time I would play it on here.  I also have school and try to find a job.  I am a senior and I am thinking about going to college.  So don't think that teens do nothing but get on here to enjoy themselves. I know that's what your thinking.

I would really like to have Netplay on this site. The only other thing I can think of that I want is Gameshark support for all the systems.

I mainly like the netplay idea, but all of the ideas sound like pretty good ones to me. I'm very new to the site still and I already wanted the netplay to begin with . Question is how will the netplay work. Will people be able to multiplay in games like pokemon? will there be rooms for each multiplayer game? idk still bunches id like to know. 

Hydro_Bud : Yeah you'd be able to trade pokemon and battle with others on the site, not sure how the "lobby" will work yet.

Will the netplay include the ability to use N64 transfer pak features if we have saved data of those games on vizzed?  Just curious, because Mario Tennis on the N64 and GBC are two of my favorite games during the N64, and I vaguely remember them having some sort of link function.

Is there a feature for wireless multiplayer on games because they never work.

goku123 : The DBZ game problem is actually a relatively easy fix.  It just involves changing save type the emulator uses, which can be done in VBA in about five seconds.  I think the problem is in either A) Having the plugin automatically load up in that setting for only those specific games or B) Having the emulator menu be able to be accessed much like how the SNES games are with ZSNES.

I think it would be awesome if you could mute the RGR games (as I've suggested before) , because I hate when Majora's Mask has that sound glitch and I try to listen to some music in the background, but Majora is louder than the music.

-Fix the sound glitch in Majora's Mask
-Super Smash Brothers and Rayman 2 don't seem to work at all.

How does the net play work?

billythekidmonster : Some N64 games work perfectly, like Ocarina of time (except the pause glitch, which everybody is having) and Diddy Kong Racing. The sound in Majora's Mask skips like a broken record after a few minutes of playing (Does this happen to everybody?).

I would like to see the Full Screen Mode and I would like to see Net play on here...but what I would really like to see on here would be some sort of an achievement system...but I don't know how that would work out.

I would like to see a Sega Saturn and Colecovision emulators and would like to see N64 emulation but everything else is good.

rcarter2 : Well a lot of it is being funded with donations and some with ad revenue.  I don't have an estimate date because these developers that I hire constantly let me down so it's out of my control

I saw the announcement about the new plugin being set up. Is this a plugin that is just meant to deal with the saving issues, or is it the plugin discussed in this thread with the listed features? It would be great if this means that you aren't being let down anymore

rcarter2 : it'll do 2 things, fix the saving issues that 1000s of users have been having over the past 2 or 3 weeks and will also allow for us to compete for high scores in RGR Plugin games (that last 1 I'm sure will excite you because I'm excited about it).

That excites me more than if Netplay were the other feature. There are some NES games I have been dying to do a high score run with but they just wouldn't work with the NESCafe Emulator. Does this mean that high scores will be available for more than NES games? If it does, I am probably going to do some cartwheels. 

rcarter2 : Ok I guess the time trial wont be available in this release but it'll be in the next release which should be just a few weeks away.  It'll allow people to compete for high scores in any RGR Plugin game, GBA, N64, SNES, NES, Gen, and 32x.

That's cool. The high score thing is a thing I want specifically for my own enjoyment. I am still glad that an update is being done now for the saving issue because it is hard to tell so many people in the Staff Inbox that they have to deal without saving for a while.

Davideo7 : I exaggerated saying that is 5 seconds, it is less than 3 or 2 seconds, but every time I save my state and my game progress through the game, when it freezes, it keep making the sound that's currently playing in the game repeating it until the freeze ends, the sounds become annoying.
This happens in all of the saveble games (At least the saveble games I had seen until now).

I wish some of the game were translated into English  because one of the game i played weren't in English

Davideo7 : Well, I had installed the plug in some time ago and turned the computer off, then I saw your comment and went to a saveble game to test, it still happens, but the freeze is shorter, it takes around 1 second to stop the freeze.

Edit: The controls for the game "Streets of Rage" (Genesis) don't work, and when I try to configure the controls, Firefox (in my case) completely freezes, and I have to restart it.

Another Edit: I guess you could put the voice chat function on the RGR plugin, if possible.
