Ok, I have a few things I am trying to do feel free to talk about either or both.

My first problem is trying to give an NPC an item and have it disappear out of the character's inventory

My second problem is more complex so I will try to post it in steps- I want my character to be able to use a skill outside of battle- how do I make this happen?

My third problem-I have a picture I want to import but the game says the image size is not valid- what size does it need to be in order to import the picture? Sometimes it says Unsupported PNG image-what does this mean and how do I fix it.

I would have responded to this sooner but I haven't been on all that much. Sorry about that.

1. If you go into your event editor and insert a new event handler there will be an option (first page, sixth from the bottom left) for removing and adding items from the inventory.

2. I can't remember this off the top of my head, I'll have to play around and come back to this. I know there's a way to do this.

3. This might help.

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Okay, what do you mean by friendship system?

Also, for your second problem, do you mean something like using a spell/ability to heal the character outside of battle or something more like HM's in pokemon where you use an ability to say, cut down a tree or make a boulder levitate out of your way?

I mean like Pokémon in cutting down a tree (that is actually what I am trying to do-only there are no Pokémon). I want this to be a skill however, meaning that the individual skill will level up and the character will literally get better at it the more he does it.

That's tricky. I'm trying to figure out a way to give a skill an experience point system. If what I'm thinking of doing doesn't work there's another way using conditional branches and switches. The only problem with using switches is that the skill won't gain experience towards leveling up. You'd have to set it so the skill levels up after a character uses it on a specific event.
