Just wanted to point out that most of the problems with the new Post Editor have been fixed.

This is awesome dav, but...the smileys look kind of weird. Why?

pieman9 : Because they're meant for a white background.  I'll be removing them soon.

I really really like this new text feature. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the new text feature...but recently most of the time I try to summon, it fails. This usually happens only when you edit your posts forgetting to summon...that's not the case. In my original post I would summon and sometimes it works, a lot of times it fails. Other people have experienced this as well....

I like this new feature but it's kinda got a glitch once in awhile when i go to post the little typing cursor doesn't
show up and i can't click so i have to refresh the page to type what i want it usally takes about 2 refreshes 
befor it will work. 

YourMajestyKen : The summoning had problems when the feature was released but that issue has been fixed in the past 1 or 2 days.  Also, summoning by editing your post has never worked.

crazycatpup : Another user reported that same problem, oddly I haven't encountered it yet.  What internet browser?

Hey, I'm using Google Chrome, and I have no problems with the editor so far.

Infact, I LOVE the idea of switching between Normal and HTML. It makes things so much easier =) 

No glitches so far, by the way.

It's working perfectly in Chrome for me. In fact, I haven't encountered any errors at all.

Davideo7 : could be....it doesn't happen ALL the time. Sometimes when I type I don't see the cursor or writing until I preview the post, then it appears.

YourMajestyKen : Well the site does get laggy so it probably happens when the site is in the middle of getting laggy, causing problems with it.  That's just my guess though.

As far as editing goes, I literally don't see the edit button at all. Only once in a blue moon, which by that, I mean usually only once or twice a day, I actually see the edit button. I am using Firefox.And for the spellchecker, it completely destroys any line breaks I make in my post, and probably will do so in this one too. That's annoying since with me being a Newbie, I have to use it, which literally means I am not allowed to line break in my posts. Kind of odd, but I kind of find it funny at the same time.

Vincent Swiftstrike :   If you don't use HTML and just use the normal option, you can just hit the enter or return key and don't need any line break tags, and spell check won't ruin it.  Well, at least it never ruins it for me, and I'm using firefox as well.  By not seeing the edit button, do you mean you never edit posts, or you can't find it?  It will be on the upper right corner of your posts when viewing the thread normally, not in reply mode.

Davideo7 :   Summoning you since noelia's summon didn't work, and also asking what code the new post editor is based on?  Some users have issues with it being unable to work on certain computers, and from what I've read I don't think it works on most people's iPods.  If it was flash that would explain the iPod things, but I really don't think it's flash lol.  Could it be that they need to update their java?
