I personally don't hate him because I don't hate people.. it's just that he believes in abortion and alot of other things hes trying to make a law in our country.

Uhm what? Abortion is already legal in this country. It's been legal in every state since the Roe v. Wade case (1973).

I like this president. He's not a Wall Street puppet, he got Osama, he did pretty well with the unemployment problem considering what the previous president did. What's not to like? No one's perfect. However, he's an intelligent man who can actually READ the teleprompter and didn't leave college with a C. The dude has done a lot of good. I hope to see him get re-elected and I hope to never see another Republican president.

I think Obama has us in massive debt, we're only in single-digit unemployment because people gave up looking for work, we're in three major conflicts around the world, our Nobel Peace Prize winning President ordered an assassination attack in a foreign country, the country is more divided then I've seen in 30 years, and he still allows Gitmo to be opened.

Obama promised public review on all laws passed into legislation. That doesn't happen. He promised no extra taxes or ear-marks on new laws but they get added all the time. He doesn't keep promises he made and he's running the country into the economic ground.

He got Osama by following Bush's actions and continuing Bush's plan of attack. I applaud him for keeping our military in other countries to defend us.

I could go on but I won't. I think he's doing a terrible job.

thenumberone : Obama signed the date as "2008" during his visit to Westminster Abbey. He also once said there were something like 57 states. I think Obama speaks well but is not particularly smart.

And what has Obama changed? What has he done to make this country better? Bush might have been a moron but he kept unemployment under 6%, he kept gas under $4.00 and he didn't create the biggest rift between liberals and conservatives I've ever seen. Obama made all these promises about what he would do.

What has he done? What's worked?

Obama still has quite some remaining time to go for this term as President, and during that time the United States government and company already invaded yet more countries with undeclared wars, added a government expanding healthcare law, engaged in more stimulus and bailouts, increased financial regulation, added trillions to the official national debt figure, continued with more easy monetary policy and even new monetary interventions, continued if not expanded the violating of the rights of Americans in the name of post-9/11 security, and so on.

Sounds a lot like what happened under Bush to me. I do not like Obama.

The other thing is getting rid of dont ask dont tell,that was a disgusting peace of legislation.
Its a global recession,i dont believe that it would have been averted by bush because america dosent interfere with banks.
As for oil he tried to open more sites to bring down the price but the opposition threw the bill out.
The only reason the liberal rift appeared is because for the first time the liberals had a say.

If you think this is true you understand nothing about the health care bill. He hasn't provided them anything.... he is forcing them to buy health insurance and if they don't they will get FINED.

That's not a success in my book. Especially when you have constitutional challenges of the bill coming from nearly every state and many corporations.

I think he is doing a pretty good job I thought it was funny when when he got told that he was a liar though

geeogree : the insurers wouldnt insure people with serious problems or they hiked the prices way up,they cant do that anymore,thus more people can now get it.
So do you think it should go further or scrap it and leave them.
People like (excuse me if i get it wrong)sakura admit its hard/impossible to afford constant treatment,its not right to leave them to die.
The cost of healthcare would be negligible if the focus was turned away from wars.

thenumberone : I agree that not waging war would free up a lot of money to pay for health care but that's not the issue. The real issue is that this bill didn't give health care to anyone.... it's forcing it on them even when many of them don't want it and fining them if they don't get it. It's unconstitutional and should be scrapped. There are ways of providing health care to everyone and this isn't it.

Oh, there is also the tax break for insurance is a third-party one and not on the individual consuming such and subsidizing the sick, unhealthy, elderly and so on. Probably other things as well. Regardless of the alleged merits of such policies, all of those will push prices up over time.

I think Obama is a great president, he's already solved the Health Care problem, and he's working on a multitude of other things, too.

I think you're confused, Obama ordered the attack on Osama bin Laden after having the SEALS train for months. I doubt Bush's decisions would've led to his capture or death. He probably would've asked Pakistan first or something stupid, and get rejected. Or Pakistan would warn Osama ahead of time.

geeogree : well i agree it shouldnt be forced on people to pay insurance but in my opinion healthcare should be free.some would call 'socialism' (as if thats some bad thing) but ensuring your people are healthy seems like a basic right to me.
While this bill dosent go very far the new regulations make it harder for insurance companys to squeeze people,which is more than bush did and frankly,if someone had said to me before obama they are going to tackle health care i wouldnt belive them.im surprised anything was done at all because(excluding the ones i have met on this board)every american i talk to calls him a communist.the most annoying thing about those people is they clearly have no idea what communism is,i think they just fear it,so they see it every where.i dont think its possible to go any further with the healthcare,most americans seem to dislike the idea.i would have thought as a christian (majority)nation some of the bibles ideas of helping others,being selfless,and sharing what you have would inspire a better attitude toward free healthcare but i guess not.i think obama would want free healthcare but lets be honest,it would never make it through congress.
TheMichaelOnline : i dont know how the tax on healthcare works but as its run as a buisiness it will of course be taxed,but there prices still make them substantial profit.coming from a country with free healthcare i can see the benefits of such systems,i would be pretty angry if they ever tried to scrap it.

thenumberone : The funny thing is, I think we had Osama, and we could've got him. Bush instead opted to draw back our forces and let the Pakistani forces capture him, and what do you know? He escaped . . . a little more than a blunder if you ask me.
