pre-order = due to christmas, not sure how its done in america, but here down under, waiting outside stores for days is just not done.

large numbers = low price, best thing about wii, its a great gift. i wouldnt say no if some1 got me one, and low cost makes it possible for the many to purchase 1

in conclusion;

Christmas has something to do with it, but it's selling out everywhere. Japan was sold out in hours, US has already went through 600,000 units (a little over 1,000,000 between US and Japan). Stores are warning Europeans that there is going to be a shortage. Nintendo plans to have 4 million out worldwide by the end of the year, and right now I'd say it's possible for all of those to sell out, though I'm thinking that's unlikely.

Wii also has success because it has quite a bit more out there than the PS3. And then it also is something different enough that people want to try it. Also this makes the Wii the fastest selling system in Aus history with pre-orders alone, yeah as you say Christmas is coming near, but that's still impressive.

Heck even id accept a Wii as a gift... and i started 3 petitions to close Nintendo down! And i agree with Neo in full... Christmas, Low Price and lots of Kids like Nintendo on account of the large number of childrens games, parents love cheap stuff for kids... everyone wins! Espicially Nintendo who will see alot of profit come out of the Wii and if they keep this up they may just be able to get a cooler logo...





Oh and, this is my pathetic attempt at trying to claw my way back to Vizzed... What can i say, I blame Blizzard and soley Blizzard.. I LOVEW YOU BLIZZARD!
