Also, if you want to bring up last time, you've proved one of my points. We reported him dead 3 years ago, and he sent us a tape to prove us wrong...if he isn't dead now, he will send another tape.

Nice to know that Osama finally got what he deserved. I just hope that everyone doesn't give all of the credit to Obama, remember who wanted to find this guy in the first place, even if its hard to give credit to him.

Viperx199 : Well if you are talking about Bush, then of course he wanted to find him...he attacked our country...but Bush had 8 years to find him and couldn't do it...I'm not saying he failed, but he didn't succeed...That being said, MOST of the credit should go to the Navy Seals that successfully went in, and killed Osama without so much as 1 American Soldier getting hurt. Where Obama should get the credit is for having the grapefruits to give the order to go in and get Osama with ground forces...it isn't an easy decision.

I agree that the men and women that served to kill this guy and the Taliban-Al Qaeda terrorists deserve the most credit, I just don't want people being ignorant and saying "Bush is a white republican and Obama is a black democrat, therefore Bush is lazy and Obama deserves all the credit". Going back to what I said, the plan to kill Osama was probably devised by the military, all Obama had to do was give the plan an OK to go, no testosterone required.

Back then was a little different. They thought he was dead, sincerely, and didn't have his body to prove it. They just happened to be wrong.

Now they are claiming to have had it. But they don't want to risk being called out on it, so obviously a tape will never air anywhere in America.

I'm ending the convo though. I'm skeptical, and you won't budge either. So I'm choosing to agree to disagree.

I am curious as to why the folks who said 9/11 was an inside job or said Bush lied and made the whole thing up to get into a war aren't decrying the assassination of a foreign person on another soveriegn country's soil.

We went out to assassinate a man. We did. How come the 9/11 folks aren't making a spectacle?

They buried Osama at sea to comply with the Muslim law that you are to be buried within 24 hours of dieing. They would have buried him in land, but not a single country would take him, so they buried him at sea. They did this to avoid as much international conflict as they can.

It doesn't matter which president found him, be it Democrat or Republican...The country would have been happy either way. But warmaker was talking about the conspiracy theorists. Those people are out for Obama too, saying he faked Osama's death and that he is also in on it. Once again, it doesn't matter what political affiliation the POTUS is, there will always be those same crazy people making up conspiracy theories.

This is where YOU are ignorant. I can't let you say that I or any other conspiracy theorists are crazy, when there isn't any actual proof as to what happened yet. A quick polling of 1000 people I know showed that 48.4% think its for real, 42.7% think it's a cover up, and the last 9.9% think it's too confusing to care.

I don't think anyone from any situation is crazy. Unless they suggest something impossible.

My case, and the case of most theorists is legit, because it is POSSIBLE.

Whereas the case for Elephants from the Moon having abducted Osama to take with them to the Xorklan galaxy is crazy.

Don't tie conspiracy theorists into the same breed as crazy people. Some are, but most of us just don't buy everything we are told.

The President himself has never announced before that Bin Laden was dead. With the election next year, I don't think there is even a remote chance that he would have come out and made that statement unless he was 100% sure that Bin Laden was dead because the backlash should be be untrue would destroy him.

Also, Bin Laden would have had a tape out within 24 hours mocking us for thinking he was dead. It has been 48 hours, still nothing. When a week or two goes by and no tape surfaces... well... I think the skeptics will start to believe.

And the United States would not be able to cover it up if a tape were released. At least not outside of America's boarders, and then the information would still be out. Honestly, if there is any kind of cover up, I would most believe it is that we still have the body... because that would be desecration of remains and that would make Osama Bin Laden into a martyr, and we do not need that.

Right after the news hit, my fiance made a joke about Republicans requiring the long form death certificate, so lol on the Trump picture.

legacyme3 : I'm not ignorant, I'm usually one of those people coming up with conspiracy theories...and the only one I can come up with for this is that Osama and Bush worked together on 9/11...and now we have Osama, still alive, in protective custody. If Osama was still alive, and not working with us, a tape would have been released by now. And if the theory I came up with is true, then all I guess I can do is pray...because there's nothing I can do about it and we are already past the point of no return.

Elara : Exactly...there is now way the government would come out with this information this close the the next election if they aren't 1000000000000% sure he's dead. There is no way they could cover up a tape

Anyway, you can be skeptic if you want, but I am still glad Osama is dead.

Plus Bush is a republican, why would he bomb a World Trade center (AKA business, trade, market)?
