I recently had $10 on my debit card to burn and decided to go to the Wii Shop Channel. Something caught my eye almost immediately: Super Mario RPG on the virtual console.

I bought it without hesitation. I know what I'm doing this weekend while PSN is down! Nostalgia time.


Has anyone else played this--or Paper Mario (originally titled Super Mario RPG 2)? I love the Mario RPG games. They're so much fun.

SMRPG is a great game, still have the music from the forest stuck in my head. Paper Mario was fun, if a bit boring at times. The best imo is Paper Mario 2.

I saw my cousin play Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars but I wanted to play it for it's cool battles and music and that main battle theme music is my favorite.  But I really played Paper Mario on the Wii and why I bought it because I saw my cousin had it for the 64 so I decided to get it from the shop channel.  I passed the game twice but I hate it when you finish it you can't start over with your current level in battling the bosses all over again but what I was left with was just an endless The End.

As far as the Paper Mario games, I don't have the Nintendo 64 version (although I played it a LOT) but I have Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door for the Gamecube, and Super Paper Mario for the Wii (one of my first Wii games). I really can't wait for Paper Mario to come out for the 3DS.

iBOCK : I have Mario and Luigi 3! You should definitely try it out. The dialogue is really..weird. But I like it, it's entertaining. Definitely different though. And the gameplay is as fantastic as ever. In reply to this thread I haven't played it before, but I'm planning to get Paper Mario for 3DS whenever it comes out.

Super Mario Role Playing Game Legend of the Seven Stars used to be my favorite video game. I, also, used Wii Shop Points to download Super Mario Role Playing Game Legend of the Seven Stars on the Wii Shop Channel. I've completed this video game twice in the past. I discover it to be highly simple.

Paper Mario, also, used to be another one of my favorite video games. I, also, used Wii Shop Points to download Paper Mario on the Wii Shop Channel. I've completed that game one time in a total of one day and twelve minutes. Again, I discover it to be highly simple.
