I think it has it's goods and it's bads. My b-day is on halloween, and I'v always thought of halloween though as a day where you can get candy and spend time with family trick or treating even if your in your 20s or older.

We usually go to trunk-or-treats at churchs now or family members/ friends that we know really well though because of the dangers people have put in halloween like needles and stuff in apples and blah blah blah.

Some people though who are into witchcraft and stuff use that holiday for stuff like rituals and stuff, and churchs think kids and stuff shouldn't dress like witches or a satan girl or other stuff. I don't see anything wrong with dressing like a witch, I was born and grew up like that and I just don't understand how people can be so perspective and put things in there own mind and stuff that it's bad.

What are your guys thoughts and believes on this matter?

And by the way I am a Christian of God. And I love him so very much.

I think anybody who uses Halloween as an excuse to perform rituals ans blah, blah, blah, needs to get some hobbies. I think of halloween as just a day to stay ot late with some friends and binge on Canday. I don't see anything wrong with that, do you?

Best Keep your concience as clean as you can, or charma will come with a blade in it's hand. It will strike all those who seek to gain without giving, and spare all of those who are weak and forgiving.

Ya your right there is nothing wrong with halloween and your also rite they do need to just get some hobbies.

I look at it to though as just a day to stay out late with friends and just have a great time.

It has its roots in Pagan traditions, but then again so does Christmas and Easter. The modern-day celebration of Halloween with the costumes and the trick or treating though is a rather secular holiday to be perfectly honest. It is a day of fun for kids where they get to dress up as whatever they want and go on massive sugar binges and it has always been my favorite day of the year.

Now, October 31st is also the Pagan holiday of Samhain (so-ween), which is sorta the Pagan new year. It is supposed to be a time of reflection and honoring the dead because of the tradition of the barrier between us and the spirit world being at it's thinnest (one of the old traditions Halloween also uses, and the source of both jack-o-lanterns and trick or treating). You also see this in Latin America as the Dia de los Muertos celebration.

I celebrate Samhain because of my religion, but I celebrate Halloween as part of my culture. I see them as two separate things on the same day.

Halloween is of Pagan origin. But I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with trick-or-treating. It is highly likely that Halloween isn't celebrated the exact way the Druids celebrated it.

It's just so weird and creepy.

PS : I'm Christian so that's why I post here sometimes

Really it has lost all of its meaning that it once had. If we still "celebrated" like we did all those years ago then yes it would be. Though it is not really taken seriously in this day and age so I think that it is fine for all people.

Halloween actually has its stems in Christianity. Halloween stems from All-Hallows-Even, or the Night before All-Hallows-Day (All Saints Day). That being said, Halloween today has NOTHING to do with that OR Pagans. Today, Halloween has been commercialized. It's all about Candy and Costumes. It's almost like Christmas with Presents. Christmas has been so commercialized to the point where most people just think about it as that time you get and give presents. They don't even think about the Birth of Christ. Or Easter with the Easter Bunny. So no, I don't think Halloween is a Pagan Holiday. But there is a Pagan holiday on Oct. 31. It's already been stated by somebody else so I won't talk about it more, but that is separate from Halloween.
