Jerry Rice. No one has more touchdowns from scrimmage as far as I know. Or at least he is near the top. Not to mention he was a beast at staying so physically fit. I don't think he had a serious injury until 1997. And he had been the no 1 guy in almost every game since 1985. What an impressive streak. The only WRs even close to breaking his records are pretty much out of the league, the only exception being Randy Moss.

To me and in my opinion the best NFL player is Clay Mathews. He's been a great help to the Green bay Packers. And yes im a packer fan. He also the greatest defensive player out there on the field all in all, but thats just in my opinion.

Tough.  I'd go with Barry Sanders.  The best RB ever.

I don't think I can pick just one greatest player of all time because of the fact I like to keep in mind modern players as well for this kind of thing ie. Tom Brady, AP but its a little weird how people tend to look over defensive players like Ray Lewis and Lawrence Taylor so I couldn't pick one I would have to pick about 10

Ray Lewis - Possibly for me the greatest leader of a team in NFL history
Joe Montana - Greatest QB ever on merit have to put him in
Jerry Rice - The greatest WR of all time, I think
Reggie White - One of the best pass rushers ever
Dan Marino - The Greatest QB never to win a ring
Lawrence Taylor - The greatest LB ever to play the game
LaDainian Tomlinson - Grew up watching him Walk through great D's Toss up between him Payton or Sanders for greatest RB ever
Tom Brady - I'm a Pats fan this was going to happen
Payton Manning - I know only one Super bowl but every year he plays he makes a team a Super Bowl contender. The broncos are my dark horses for the super bowl and if Eli had his day in day out work ethic and didn't just wait till the play-offs too care about working hard he'd be the best QB in the NFL.
Barry Sanders or Walter Payton - Take your pick Both are greats both demolished D's and like I said before I cant pick between Tomlinson and these two

I would have to agree that it was Barry Sanders. He was incredible (in my opinion the best RB in history) and he did all this and made a name for himself with the LIONS! I am from Michigan and I am a fan, but I can admit that they sucked. If he could make a name for himself with them, imagine what he could have done with a talented team.

I think Brady will end up being thought as maybe the best. But Berry Sanders was obviously great, but I don't know if you could really say it, since he didn't play for that long. And of course there's Elway and Montana, but in twenty years, Leon Sandcastle will be thought of as the best.

Barry Sanders is the best player to ever play. He accomplished so much under crappy circumstances. Lions ownership refused to give him any real support and he still dominated  every year he played. The guy was magic on the field. No player was more electrifying than Barry. I can't imagine what he could of did with a team like the Cowboys. Teams would play both safeties in the box all the time. That part of the reason Herman Moore had as much success as he did.

My favorite is probably eli Manning since he is one of the few football players I actually know somewhat well. I don't watch football at all except for the super bowl

I'm torn between Barry Sanders and Adrian Peterson. Barry Sanders was just awesome, but Adrian Peterson's comeback from that ACL tear and the fact that he was oh-so-close to breaking the rushing record really shows off his greatness.

Peyton Manning would have to be my choice. He was great in Indy and is still great in Denver. He will probably own most QB records by the time he retires. A few more rings would help, but so would solid defenses.
