I don't know but the most pointless pokemon in red rescue team is ditto. It can only use transform once. And if you go to a different floor your not the same pokemon you transformed into.

In my opinion, Magikarp is the most useless pokemon ever. It knows splash and is too weak to do much of anything else. Until it becomes a Gyarados that is. Then it is amazing.

The most pointless to me is Smeargle. It can only learn one move. Then when you use that move it changes, but it's hard to get it to the move you want/need.

I believe the most pointless is possibly Smoochum, it's completely useless, often forgotten, and quite frankly, is a frustrating road block that puts a happiness dependent bump in the road on a way to a useful Psychic/Ice type, Jinx.
