So you're gonna try RPG Maker 95? I myself have only used the 2003 and VX but the principles the same.



You start out with a blanked, tiled map. You use map tiles to make the map (they're on the left there) and you can set an event on the tiles which is almost like preset code and is the bulk of what you're gonna use to make NPC's move, treasure chest, etc. The newer ones actually let you code yourself and you can do almost anything with them. All in all rpg maker is a great program to start out with.

It'll be cool if someone takes emerald and makes it where u can catch all generations of pokemon and have the elite 4 be harder with that a little like every guy has a different generation and the last guy has a combination of them all still going off of the type of pokemon in original pokemon except last guy be different.
