Ok, so I decided to go buy a PC controller, but I found out that I can use my PS3 controller instead. I plugged it in, and all that it does is flash its 4 lights. I downloaded a few programs, but I still couldnt get it to work so i deleted them. Im not a computer wizz, so most online instructions dont help me at all, and after reinstalling one program 4 times i gave up. If you know anything about getting it to work as a PC controler, please help. Im using a 64bit laptop with Windows 7.

You can. But you may be plugging in the PS3 controller through your USB cable that came with the PS3...

That cable cannot send or receive information, all it can do is charge your controller for you. There is no other function it is meant to serve.

If you want to play using a PS3 controller, you should get xPadder and also get a USB dongle, that sends and receives information.

Don't listen to Leggy he's crazy . I use my PS3 controller through the cord all the time. It just takes a little work since Microsoft doesn't just let you use a competing companies controller.

You have to use a program called Motionjoy

Instructions are here

Zamiel :

I heard that =3

Also, I'm talking from personal experience. Does Motionjoy really let you play the same games with a PS3 controller? O_o I've only heard of xPadder

legacyme3 : Yes it does. I have to turn off "Enforce Driver Signal" every time I want to use it though. They're different programs though, xPadder sets your controller buttons to keyboard keys while Motionjoy makes your computer think your PS3 controller is an Xbox/PC controller.

Zamiel :

So basically it teaches my PS3 controller to act retarded? =P

I installed it, but how do I get rid of the Enforce Driver Signal? I know its in systme settings somewhere, I use Windows 7. Any idea where it would be where about?
