I have found out things about my friends that have made me feel more worried about them and I've found out things that have made me feel...uncomfortable. Mostly stuff about thier sex lives and deep dark secrets.

So I'm wondering if anyone else has felt that way too or had that happen?
And has it affected your friendship in anyway?

I know in my case my best friends who are chicks (in real life mostly) I feel more protective of now then before and I feel almost like a brother to them.¬_¬

Someone I knew for sometime now "came out of the closet" to me about 2 months ago. I felt honored to have been that first person he confided in.

Has it affected our friendship? Of course not, I'm also gay and besides, who am I to judge anyone? If anything it's bought our friendship closer as oppose to distant.

Well there's a few things i never wanted to know from my friends. One of the biggest ones was from one of my guy friends, saying he is bi and that he always liked me more then a friend. Which ended up ending our friendship after 5 years of not telling me. I kinda got sick to my stomach after he told me. I never realized he was bi. Which till this day, i never understood why i couldn't figure it out.

M!cH@3l 001 : I know what you mean alot of stuff goes down when drugs are involved, my cousins in jail for murder and that was over a drug deal gone south. Whats messed up is my cousin looks just like me so if he broke out they might think I was him! lol But he was 14 when he went in I didnt know until a week after it happen. My best friends (a small handful of people) could tell me almost anything and I would still accept them and love them just as much. And I do mean almost anything, even if they admitted to cheating on their boyfriend, murdering someone, etc.

In general I am a very open and accepting person. Even if someone has an out-of-the-ordinary hobby or interest, secret about their childhood, their problems with drugs, came out about a fetish, or something along those lines... I do not think badly of them. Sometimes I have very personal and in-depth conversations with people where I learn their deepest secrets. I don't think I have ever been turned off being friends with someone for that reason. In most cases I am very happy they trust me enough to tell me.

Yes. Someone from high school called to ask if a particular person I knew was a vengeful person. The particular person's girlfriend cheated on him with this guy and I was the first to find out.


Edit- My current friends could tell me anything. I know and trust them enough to look past anything they may have done. If they broke a rule, then I wouldn't care as long as they got caught and went through the full legal system. What it was and how it ended doesn't matter. I know who they are now, so what does it matter if they made mistakes earlier in their life. Leave the past in the past.
