And I'm not asking if you're willing to eat fruit, as opposed to being some kind of weird reverse vegetarian for some reason. What I am asking is do you, fair reader, regularly eat fruits and vegetables, whether as a snack or part of your everyday meal or whatever?

We as a species (in particular residents of the United States of America, glorious and free nation that we are) have come to accept eating strange processed foods, and we've been conditioned to refuse anything that doesn't contain some combination of the following:

• Tooth-decaying amounts of sugar


• A heart-stopping amount of salt


• Lawsuit-starting amounts of fat

As a result, it's not uncommon to think of fresh fruits and vegetables as something eaten by health nuts or possibly conspiracy theorists.

Today I took an orange in to work (a place that sells oranges, ironically) for my lunch. It wasn't filling enough to stop me from buying myself a ham sandwich, but I noticed something interesting.

Oranges taste pretty awesome.

And that's what's cool about fruit: It tastes delicious. It's sweet enough to be considered a snack or a dessert (some of the Chinese buffets around here even put them in with the desserts) and yet, with the possible exception of coconuts, you can't claim they're unhealthy. Well, unless you're a conspiracy theorist.

So I ask you, dear denizens of Vizzed: do you eat fruit?

All fruits are delicious and nutritious. Every time I go to the supermarket to food shop...I always purchase the largest fruit platter available. I eat at least one fruit everyday. My favorite fruit is a red apple.

I eat fruit, mostly strawberries and apples, since I'm not a big fan of anything else. I love homemade smoothies, though - it's a bunch of fruits rolled into a drink that can give me brain freeze!

I don't eat fruit very often but I do sometimes. I never really cared much for sweet food.

I do not eat enough fruit --at least, not on a regular basis. But I do enjoy bananas and apples. There was one rather interesting notion I had when eating a banana. I was at my part time job during the morning and I did not have a big breakfast, but it wasn't small either in my opinion. Strangely, I felt rather hungry mid-morning and decided to eat my banana early before lunch. And you know what? That was the best banana I ever ate. Desperation can certainly change our taste buds.

Fruits are part of my regular diet. I eat them everyday. I love all fruits. Part of my daily nutrition. I can't live without them. Strawberries or Oranges would be my favorite. Banana would have to be my least favorite.

I eat fruits on a daily basis, and I eat a lot. If there is one snack I eat most often it is probably fruit. I eat at least three fruits a day, more if I can get them without hogging all of the fruits in the fridge. The only fruit I don't like are apircots and raw blueberries, everything else is fair game!
