I love all the metroid games, my favorite is Metroid Fusion and Super Metroid is also my favorite too

I agree with mr.keys, I prefer metroid fusion, because its like the easiest one, and I don't know it's just better in my opinion.

I'd have to say Super Metroid. It's the only one that was so fun that I actually played it to the finish. It's a game I'd reccomend to ANYONE who calls themself a gamer.

I've played and beaten most of them. I'm trying to beat the entire trilogy of prime at the moment..I'm on Prime 2 Echoes. The best I would say would be Fusion. That game had it all-fear, exploration, great boss battles, perfect difficulty, and general metroid amazingness. My favorite game series of all time. Metroid forever.

I would say that Metroid: Zero Mission is my favorite. Its pretty much a remake of the very first metroid, only with a new twist to it at the end. Its very fun, and can be challenging  if your on hard mode, or doing the 9-15% item run. It's REALLY hard if your doing 9% on hard mode, I couldn't do it... But one of these days, I'm gonna try it, and maybe see if I can finally beat it.

I'm not a big fan of Metroid, but my favorite is Metroid for the NES. Is an awesome and great game. And hard also!

either Metroid Prime or Super Metroid.  I don't get why people keep saying Metroid Prime 3.  Prime 3 was my least favorite out of the three.

Out of the Metroids that I've played, I think the first one's the best. Sure Super Metroids epic and all, but for PURE isolation, play the original on the NES. It's cold black backgrounds almost make the game scary.

All of them are so great..but for side scrolling, fusion. But overall I would go with Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, minus the terrible backtracking looking for keys throughout the entire world before you approach the final boss, which takes forever and isn't fun. Also it basically requires a walkthrough because the only clue you have to finding the keys is one scentence cryptic hints that don't help anything. And the final boss is really difficult, I'm still trying to defeat him right now. But the final boss toughness is fine, I don't detract points for that, but the key finding was unneccessary. Or at least not as many to find, 9 keys to backtrack and find was lame. But the core gameplay of Echoes is just fantastic, and the dark atmosphere of the game is awesome and keeps you playing until the end. The concept of dark samus is also pretty cool. I havn't played Prime 3 yet, I'm trying to finish the 2nd right now. I can't seem to defeat the final boss though :/ I will eventually.

Mine would have to be prime 2 because the suits look awesome and I like the idea of traveling a dark world and light world. Also you can switch your beam like in prime 1instead of prime 3.

Well for myself I like the fusion version .....I find it one great classic and as well as a nice easy game play.

My favorite Metroid game is Super Metroid. The Prime series was great, but I loved Super Metroid growing up. I remember the excitement at the beginning of the game, descending down the very same shaft you used to escape in Metroid, then entering the ruined Mother Brain chamber that was once the heart of Tourian. When Kraid erupted from the ground and destroyed the ceiling, revealing that he was two screen lengths tall, I was floored. Then there were the special "hidden" abilities, some which would be implemented again; like the wall jump and shine spark, and some that have yet to appear in another Metroid game; like the Crystal Flash and the Charge Beam + Power Bomb combo that let you activate a special ability of your beam weapons. The music in the game was simply incredible, and I always get excited when I hear music from Super Metroid in another Metroid game, like in Magmoor Caverns or the Submerged Temple

My favorite metroid game to play was and still is Metroid Fusion because it was the first game of metroid that i ever beat and it inspired me to be some more of the games.

The one I like the most has to be the one I played almost all my life (in other words Super Metroid)
