When I was a kid my favorite book was "Without family" by Hector Malot(I think it's translated as "Nobody's boy" in english, I'm not sure though). Anyway, I've read both volumes more than 10 times(I think I read it 12 or 13 times, but I don't remember exactly), when I was in primary school. And I wouldn't mind reading it again one of these days

By the way, I think this thread fots more to "Stories / Simulation / Art -- Books", so I'll move it there.

My favorite book series is the Diary of A Wimpy Kid book series, mainly Dog Days because that one has stories not featured on Funbrain.

Jurassic Park never gets old. The author, Michael Crichton, peeves me somewhat but that doesn't change the awesomeness of the book. It's much better than the movie: SPOILER ALERT!
They even use a rocket launcher on a raptor in the book. Good stuff.

I enjoy Castaways of the Flying Dutchman by Brian Jacques. It's a fantasy book about a mute boy and a black lab. After a while, a guardian angel allows the boy to talk and gives him the ability to communicate telepathically with his dog. They also never age. The angel guides them to certain areas of the world to help people in need. When the people no longer need help, the angel sends a message via a dream that tells them to move on. They basically obey the angel because if they stayed then people would notice their lack of aging. The second half of that book and the two sequels follow his journeys.

Can you tell I've read it at least a dozen times?

Eragon by Christopher Paolini, Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer, and The Hobbit by Tolkien. They are some of my favorite books, maybe not the absolute favorites but they are easy reads so I have read them each quite a few times just for the fun of it.

Firstly, all the Harry Potter books. I've read them each at least 4 times over.

Then there's possibly one of my favorite books ever, Time Without End. It's about a Vampire who, before he becomes a vampire in the 1300's, falls in love with the Duke's daughter which is forbidden. Then the black plague hits and basically everyone in town dies, but the two main characters manage to escape. By some fated accident the girl dies. Now every century or so he finds her again reincarnated looking exactly the same, but with a different name and persona. Then after about a week of convincing her to love him again, she's sent a cursed ring and dies again. Finally in like 1997, he finds her one last time and they begin the trial of finding the ring sender. OMG it's so good!!

I've always loved to read Dracula. And then there's a bunch of other types of books I like to read like the Tolkein series, including the Hobbit, the Silmarillion, and the Lost Tales. Oh and if you get the chance, Stray is also a good book. I haven't read the rest in the series yet but I hope to eventually.

I'm also a fan of manga's. FLCL is always excellent, Marmalade Boy, Paradise Kiss, etc.
In hindsight, I like to read

I could read that book every single day for the rest of my life and still love it just as much every single time.  I don't know what it is about that book, but it's one of my absolute favorite books ever.

I will always simply ADORE the Harry Potter series. I can read them over and over and never grow tried of them. [=

Then there's the first Warrior Cats series by Erin Hunter. I read the first six books back in the 8th grade, one right after another. I was lucky that my middle school library happened to have them all, haha. =P (To be honest, I haven't read any of the other series. >.> )

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is another one of my favorites. It's nice for a good laugh, haha. [=

Then there's House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer, A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket, the Hobbit by JRR Tolkien ... I could go on and on, haha. =P I have loads of books I could read over and over again.

gotta agree with Tabi...

I love the Harry Potter books.

They were the first series I got into when I was reading, and I remember reading all the books on release day.

I finished each book after one long sit in to read it all.

It's hard to get me to stay still too =)

Well I would say that for me it is either Jurassic Park or it would be the Percy Jackson series. I really love both of those books even though I do not like Micheal Crichton's personal views. I think they are both great though.

My favorite book ever would have to be Where the Red Fern Grows. It's just that the whole story about a boy loving his two dogs and all the trials they go through that's just amazing to read time and time again. I get a different message every time I go through it too.

I'm assuming non-fiction counts, if so, I'll say The Bible.  A person can spend many years trying to full understand the bible because it offers so much wisdom and knowledge.

I can read Maximum Ride over and over again. It's a fantastic read. It's actually one of those books that I can pick up, open to any page, and know exactly where I am in the story.

I have always been a big fan of The Giver. I am not sure if you all have read this or not. I'm sure you have as a lot of schools read it. Anyway, it takes place in this society that is under super tight control by the superiors. Everything from families, when you get assigned a career, when you get kids, assigned a partner, and all that is controlled. Sexual urges are taken away through medication. The people are even unable to see color. All memories of things "unpleasant" are gone as they are held by one man with the title of Receiver of Memories. Young Jonas is assigned that role to replace the current aged Receiver. He passes down all memories of things such as love, fun, color, pleasure, pain, war, suffering, and all things of the such. Receiving these memories causes him to see the flaw in the society he grew up in. It is quite an amazing story. It does suddenly end without much of a resolution though. It took me YEARS to find out that this book was one of a trilogy of books. I am looking for the other two.

For me it is Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone. It's not even my favorite, but it's the most re-read book I own. When I run out of books to read and I have no money to buy new ones I go straight back to that one.

I never get tired of reading the Inheritance series. I can just keep reading it over and over again. The harry potter series can get boring at certain parts (A.K.A most of the fifth book and half of the seventh book), but otherwise I can just read through all of them.

Well I have read the Lord of the Rings Novel so many times I have lost track.

Also another book that I've read many times is We were soldiers once, and young. this book is about Landing Zone X-Ray during the Vietnam war. Survivors accounts as to what happened. Very riveting stuff.

Here's a description of the book from Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Were-Soldiers-Once-Young-Drang-The/dp/0060975768

"In November 1965, some 450 men of the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry, under the command of Lt. Col. Hal Moore, were dropped by helicopter into a small clearing in the Ia Drang Valley. They were immediately surrounded by 2,000 North Vietnamese soldiers. Three days later, only two and a half miles away, a sister battalion was chopped to pieces. Together, these actions at the landing zones X-Ray and Albany constituted one of the most savage and significant battles of the Vietnam War.

How these men persevered--sacrificed themselves for their comrades and never gave up--makes a vivid portrait of war at its most inspiring and devastating. General Moore and Joseph Galloway, the only journalist on the ground throughout the fighting, have interviewed hundreds of men who fought there, including the North Vietnamese commanders. This devastating account rises above the specific ordeal it chronicles to present a picture of men facing the ultimate challenge, dealing with it in ways they would have found unimaginable only a few hours earlier. It reveals to us, as rarely before, man's most heroic and horrendous endeavor."

My favorite book that I'll be never tired of reading is ''running man''
as I think that a story cannot be better written then that.I suggest it to everybody of 13+ of age as it is complicated to understand.

I can never stop rereading Cradle and All by James Patterson. It's about two virgins getting pregnant at the same time, and one is to have to son of god while the other is going to have the son of satan. It's got tons of twists and it still gets me every time. I love it.

Personally, I can never get tired of reading any type of manga. But as for novels? I'd have to say the Harry Potter series and the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr and Inheritance.)
