That is probably true. She probably kept every thing as good as she could with her power and when she passed then there was no one to say

"Adventure Time? That sounds like the dumbest thing I have ever seen! Was this done by a four year old? Throw this away!"

New Cartoon Network just stinks.

I agree its over. I was trying to watch cartoon network when my little cousins were over and it is just too much to handle. The only show i even come close to enjoying is chowder other then that its all a blur of mediocrity and annoyances.

Yeah, its good days are pretty much over for now, even though there are a few good shows on there. I miss the good old days of CN.

Plaid : I agree completely. Once Toonami was destroyed I hated Cartooon Network. Now with the new shows it is really stupid. Oh, and dont forget CN real. Who wants a reality show on a cartoon channel?

computernorman12 : I occasionally watch the Adult Swim block on Cartoon Network from time to time but I remember when the network first started in the early 90s it was a part of Turner and basically had a lot of the programming that would fill up TBS’ and TNT’s early morning schedule. Flintstones, Tom & Jerry, The Jetsons etc.

With the exception of the Adult Swim block that is a late night time slot of Cartoon Network I couldn’t tell you a good majority of what airs on the network. Part of me wishes with all the HD channels coming out and such that the powers that be will create a network that is 24/7 classic cartoons, what Cartoon Network use to be.

Part of the problem I feel is that most networks these days are part of a conglomerate of networks that are owned by one giant corporation. I hope eventually that there will be more independent TV stations that resurface. When I was growing up in New York there were several independent TV stations that still exists however, their not truly independent and are likely under some branding of some sort. CW or MYNetwork TV etc. Back in the 80s, I spent countless hours watching WWOR-TV which was nothing but syndicated programming, cartoons and local news. Another station I watched back then was WPIX-TV. Both channels had similar line ups and besides the great syndicated programming both stations had baseball games. The New York Mets on WWOR and the New York Yankees on WPIX.

In that aspect not much has changed except both teams switched stations several years ago after decades at those respective stations. There were so many great things about the 80s that I miss and sincerely wish I could go back to.

At least for those of us that are die hard 80s music marks we have VH1 Classic.

CN sucks. Now they have a bunch of pointless reality tv shows and all that other crap... When I was 6/7 or so I watched CN. I watched everything: Scooby Doo, Dexters Lab, Ed Edd and Eddie, but what I remember most was Dragon Ball Z and Toonami. Good stuff.

Now, my brother is 7, and never touches CN. Instead, he's always watching Nick Toons Network, which is probably what CN SHOULD be. These include some of the older Nicktoons, but mostly new onces, including Dragon Ball Z Kai.

We'll never get the ol' CN back, but at least NickToons has something going right.

And yeah, VH1 Classic is BA.

I think that it started to go downhill once they stopped showing Megas XLR, and Tom (voiced by Steve Blum) was no longer the Toonami announcer. Nick and Disney saw how well Toonami did at increasing the age range in audience so they then decided to get both Naruto and Dragonball Z from the dying hands of CN, and I thank them for choosing good animes to show instead of Bakugan or something like it.

Yeah, sad to say but I'm afraid Cartoon Network is going down the drain... I still watch Boomerang though because it features all the good ol' shows from Cartoon Network, like Cow and Chicken and Johnny Bravo!

billythekidmonster : No offense, but Cartoon Network doesn't want anything to do with CN Real and are TRYING to go back to the wacky cartoon shtick that they had with Cow and Chicken, trying to say it sucks is saying that CN's original shows are bad as well.

If you have noticed it isn't just cartoon network that has been having crappy shows lately Disney channel is becoming more crappier yet with its unentertaining shows which are all teen humor shows which aren't really as funny as they are made up to be (though some are reasonably enjoyable). Then there are Saturday morning cartoons I just would wish for the good shows back that don't act like kids are retarded, like teenage mutant ninja turtles, (and the original TMNT) and sonic X not shows like biker mice from mars. And then even Nickelodeon is falling it is still is the highest standing but it too is loosing its cool, they are airing Spongebob way too much and you can't ever find any other cartoon shows on it any more.

It makes me sad that now days the only reason people make cartoons is because its the easiest way to make money.

I don't quite understand why they're putting reality shows on a station called Cartoon Network. Whether they're entertaining or not, putting reality shows on a station for cartoons is risky and takes up time.

xfighter1138 : I know that CN is trying to return to the norm but the newer cartoons they show just lack the feel of the old. I'm glad that they're trying to change back but I think they need to do some more research into what made the original cartoons so good, before they make any more big decisions. One thing I've noticed is that they really toned down the comedic violence considerably and then their shows just lost the "charm" the used to have. I think this could be resolved if society would realize that violence in MODERATION, and for the right reason, could be a good thing.

Man, they should've never gotten rid of Toonami. And after Jennifer Davidson died, it was all over from there. Hopefully CN can get back on their feet.

Pretty much the only stuff I watch on Cartoon Network now are repeats of Family Guy and American dad that I can easily watch on Hulu or any other number of channels.

I think part of the problem with Cartoon network is that their old standards like Aqua Teen, and Robot Chicken have just gotten kinda stale, and the shows the play during the day are just a product of what they think should be popular cartoons today.

Hole in The Wall is a direct sin to mankind..I REALLY haven't the slightest clue as to where they get these ideas.. only shows worth watching are Adventure Time, Chowder, Regular Show, and Mad TV..and thankfully they've been playing the original looney tunes again at noon.

But ever since Toonami was shut down, that was it.

They think kids LOVE gross, disturbing, stupid cartoons. Adventure time? please! Chowder? must have been written by a cow. the ONLY good show on there is MAD. it mocks all the popular things, and it's exactly like the magazine.
