Do you get colds in the wintertime?

Not colds, just sore throats.

Yeah, Just about every week, too.

It's not rare for me to feel sick around Christmas time. It's strange, I get sick, but, I would always manage to be better by Christmas Eve.

I usually get a runny nose, but, that's about it. I get those in the Summer when I'm by water too.

I don't oddly enough. I don't get sick until summertime. I've only had the flu three times but all three times were during the summer. I get colds and the flu at the dumbest of times.

The worst illnesses I've had were actually in the summer.

People usually get sick in the winter since they are constantly staying inside around other people, which means more chance of spreading viruses/bacteria.

I don't winter has affect on how likely I am to get sick. Since I live with six people I'm in the habit of always washing my hands and I keep my own space/stuff clean. I don't share food with my family either.

Yup. I don't get a ton of them but I will usually get at least one or two in the wintertime, more if it's really cold.

Actually, I don't get that cold.

Maybe it's because I'm either under the covers sleeping, have the heater on, or are wearing some warm clothes I haven't gotten sick in the winter time either.

I usually get me a couple colds each winter. I guess my immunity is finally kicking in because I'm starting not to have them so frequently during the winter. Though I do get sore throats a bit. But they don't develop too much beyond that these days.

No, but I get higher self-esteem. Why? Because I can finally wear pants. It's also the weather where you see me happiest, so if you want a happy Klawed, take me to Alaska. I'll love it. I also get to wear all black more in the colder times of year, sleep better due to having more weight on me, and am just in a better mood. I get much nastier, and maybe meaner when it's hot because my medicine makes me sensitive to heat.

I'm always getting colds during winter, hey, it's still only fall, and I already have a cold, and I even sneezed during the writing of this post, lol.

I do if I have no idea what temperature it is and i'm unprepared. But this doesn't happen often. Still, it does happen.

I think the worst cold I had was not in winter, I think just coming out of winter, and my temp was 102 degrees.

I don't. I actually am right at home in the wintertime. And the summertime. And every time. I am always a contant cool temprature. I'd think I was born weird if it werent for the fact I saw my birth on video... WHAT WERE MY PARENTS THINKING

septembern : It all depends on where you are geographically… In some places the climate doesn’t have the same effect on some people as it does others. If your use to living in a warm climate and end up traveling to a climate where humidity doesn’t factor in and it gets drastically colder than your use to then you will get sick that is a given. I am a born New Yorker but I have lived in Florida on and off for over 20 years.

When I travel home if it’s not a family emergency and I can fly up at my leisure I like to get up there during the summer months that way if I am going to be up there for an extended period of time which will include a seasonal change in the weather I will have had enough time for my body to acclimate to the climate. One time I flew home in the middle of March and it was 85 degrees down here at the time but I was dressing warm had a heavy coat and a vest on thinking that I would need to be wearing them when I got off the plane because it had been snowing in New York the day before.

My mother was being over protective made me pack the coat and the vest (I was a teenager at the time.) because she was worried that it was too hot at the time. When I got off the plane in New York it was 17 degrees outside with the wind chill bellow zero so needless to say when my uncle picked me up and we went outside to his car I pretty much dove in the back of his mini van going through my bags until I found my coat and my vest. I didn’t get sick thankfully because I didn’t wait till we got to my uncle’s home to go through my bags. If I had waited I probably would have caught at worst the flu.

I do get sick down here pretty much once a year when spring starts because that’s when allergy season is at it’s peak and in Florida it is hell especially with the pollen levels. If you dress accordingly with the weather though you don’t really have too much trouble but allergies are pretty much unavoidable and downright brutal when it becomes a contributing factor in catching a flu or some other type of bug.

Not colds, but I usually have a runny nose and a soar throat very often, during winter and autumn.

Anyway, no I used to when I little but now I honestly don't even remember the last time I had a cold. I used to get sick like everyday but now I guess my immune system has greatly improved because of that.

I find that during the winter time, I never feel as cold as you think you should during the winter, but I beleive that it's just because I have mentally prepared myself for the cold. I do however feel freezing when outside in simply 7-8 degree weather (42-48 degrees faranheight I think).

It depends on which people I hang out with. I usually don't because I have pretty high immunity system. I only get about 1 each year that last for a day or two.

I haven'tw gotten a cold or flu in three years I'm just that lucky. Also I'm not allergic to anything.

But they arent very bothersome cuz i mostly dont have anyone to speak with at home

Rarely but for some reason I get some in the summer time but not in the winter

I usually don't get sick...but I feel a little congested now. And it is getting a lot windier outside. Not sure if it's from the cold weather though why I'm feeling congested..could be. I hope I get over it really quick! I hate not being able to breathe!

I tend to stay pretty healthy, but the worst cold I ever had was during winter break of my... I think junior year. I was sick the entire time and even lost my voice. I couldn't go out or anything. It was horrible. So I guess I have gotten colds in the wintertime.

I'm ALWAYS sniffling and sneezing.
And it tends to get worse in the changing of the seasons.

Plus my room gets extreme temperatures.
In the summer it's extremely hot, when the A/C is on it's extremely cold.
In the winter it's extremely cold, when the heater is on it's extremely hot.

Im one of the lucky ones.i hardly ever get colds.Im also not allergic to anything.Sometimes i wish i would get a cold so i could lay in bed all day,but allas im not that lucky.

Yeah,I happen to be a bit of a carrier monkey.I seem to always too be getting everyone around me sick.

I get colds during any season. Mint gum also cures my colds during any season.

I never get colds in the winter time. If I get sick (which is insanely rare) it's probably a summer cold. That's backwards, I know, but it's true. I could never figure it out either.

Every year I get a lot of colds, probably because I never wear hat and gloves outside.

I get at least one cold a year and it something ends up growing to bronchitis, which I have at this exact moment.

My immune system is THE WORST. Each winter, I get at least three colds and one sore throat. Plus, I have about a fifty-fifty chance of getting the flu.

Ugh... Nothing annoys me more than a cold during the winter. I always get colds just after New Year's Day. I also get colds during the middle of spring.

My family is rather strange when it comes to summer time and winter time, in the winter time were usually pretty hot,so we open 1 window, to keep the cooler air moving in and keeping the air fresh for breathing. While in the summertime, we keep everything shut up and let virtually no sunlight in the house.

When I am lightly dressed or moderately dressed, or just outside a bunch, yeah, I get colds. Generally, I will spend the entirety of winter sneezing, snifling, and battling runny-noses. People say to stay home when your sick, but I can't very well take 3 months off from school and/or work now can I?

Yeah I catch colds in the wintertime but not as much as the summer though. To be honest I really hate catching colds period cause when I have one I tend to lose focus on the things I do

I actually don't get colds at all really. In fact, it's been years since I got a cold, and I somehow ended up getting it in the summer. Don't ask why either, it just happened. Maybe I have a super strong immune system.

I don't often get full-fledged colds in the winter, but if the air gets really cold, my nose often runs quite a lot.

It makes wearing face cover kind of difficult. That on top of my glasses, which get fogged up really easily in the cold from my breath, means that I pretty much can never cover my nose in the winter.

Yup, I'm getting over a mild cold right now.  Had a sore throat the last few days, as well as coughing, headache, etc..  Almost every year I get a cold around Christmas... This time it came around a little late .  I hate colds.

Yeah,I get it almost everyday.I have running noses,stuffy noses and all that stuff.Gosh it's annoying

I usually don't...  but this time I caught something and it's annoying... 

I have an extremely strong immune system. I haven't had any sort of sickness for about 2 years. My whole family always gets colds and other stuff but I never catch it.
