septembern : Well it would be kind of hypocritical of me considering that I cover Boxing to be scared of blood because there is the potential for cuts and such in every battle fought in a boxing ring. I have seen some really nasty gashes in some bouts I’ve covered obviously that made me cringe. I do have a fear of having my blood taken though. I assume that’s a natural but I don’t have a fear of needles though I was terrified of them as a kid. I assume a fear of blood depends on the individual.

In my years, I've had to do a lot of medical crap to my body when I didn't go to a docter, like fixing my own in-grown toe nail(s), pulling out half a molar that gave me trouble, and when I had the skin around my elbows and knee ripped off, I rode my bike home and cleaned the wounds myself. I've seen others pouring out blood among other things, blood is no problem to me.

I can't say I'm scared of seeing blood, but rather, it's the manner in which brought out. I fear looking at my arm when I have my blood drawn. Seeing my own dark liquid sucked up into a bottle makes me feel uneasy. In fact, having just typed that make my stomach churn a little. Also, seeing blood squirt from someone's neck or any major artery does not sit well with me at all.
