My favorite video game is Minecraft for the Xbox 360 because you get to build things and mine. And you can get different mods and tame dinosaurs. Rawr. |

The games I like the most and belong to my favourite are Need for speed games and some strategy games similar to the Age of Empires. You can play them for many hours and have lots of fun. They've even developed over time, having new interesting features and upgrades. Who wouldn't like some strategic thinking and competing... or having a great speedy car ride. |

I generally prefer first-person shooters and adventure / action-adventure games. I prefer for my games to have an engaging story or narrative. For a long time, my favorite games were exclusively in the Elder Scrolls series, especially Daggerfall.
Nowadays, though, I've taken a liking to more "light" games, so first-person shooters have gone back to being my favorites. Doom is my favorite now, for its simple gameplay, compelling narrative, and modding community. I'm actually trying to get into modding it myself. Because of Doom's simplicity, it's actually not that hard to make a good map. Texturing, on the other hand... I suck at that XD As you've probably guessed, I've taken a liking to modding. That fancy started with the Elder Scrolls series and has developed into a desire to make real stuff for games. I find Doom to be an easy outlet for my occasional creative flair, and its modding community remains strong, active, and accessible, so I'm having fun with it. id Software actually released id Tech 1, the Doom engine, as open-source code under the GNU General Public License, which means anyone with a modder's heart and a gamer's dream can make their own games using the engine. I think it's worth checking out because the game is actually simple enough that it'd be fairly easy to wrap your head around most of it. How many of you reading this right now can actually read the source code for your favorite graphics engine? http://www.it-he.org/doom.htm Among game mods, The Sky May Be is my very favorite. It completely rehashes a lot of the gameplay and pushes the limits of what you can get away with in a game mod. It's the most controversial and provocative mod ever made, with some insisting that it's a work of artistic brilliance and others that it's the worst thing ever made. It's still controversial ten years after it was developed. Doom itself can't make that claim. Favorite video games...well there are two series that come to mind. Kingdom Hearts KH 1 and 2 are exclusive to PlayStation 2, while KH 3 can be played on both the PlayStation 4 and Box One. There are multiple spin-offs including: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (PS2 and GBA) Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (Nintendo DS) Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Unfortunately, I have only played Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. Made by none other than Square Enix and Disney themselves, KH is a perfect blend between the Final Fantasy and Disney worlds. Without giving to much away, the story is absolutely amazing! KH 1: Sora and his best friends, Riku and Kairi , are living in a tropical island paradise with a few others. I'm talking about palm trees, coconuts, a beach, etc. The producers take great care to be sure you fall in love with this world. Together, they decided to build a raft and set out into the ocean in search for other "worlds" (really just land and to go exploring). Recently though, Sora (the main protagonist) has been having nightmares. Shadows have been swallowing him, and he keeps going back to a strange area with stain-glass floor featuring several Disney Princesses. A stranger visits Sora, and he speaks of "a door to this world" and how he has found the "keyhole". What could this mean? Then, the night before, a terrible storm appears and through a series of mysterious events, shadows called the Heartless destroy Sora's world and Riku and Kairi are nowhere to be found. Shadows swallowed his world and he was thrown away, and the only thing that protected him is a key...where did it come from? Throughout the game you will encounter various Disney and Final Fantasy characters while searching for your friends. At some point, you will team with none other than the mage, Donald Duck, and the night, Goofy, who are searching for their king, Mickey Mouse. They where ordered to look for the wielder of the "keyblade", and search for the King who had gone missing. Through many adventures, and traveling through many Disney worlds, Sora, Donald, and Goofy will bond as they search for their friends. Will they be able to defeat the darkness? Will they find Riku, Kairi, and Mickey? Honestly, this series has a perfect blend of Final Fantasy, Disney, action, comedy, and plot. KH 2: I am going to be perfectly honest. The story in this game is an extension to KH 1 and it will test you mental capabilities. It adds a whole new aspect to the game, with a new story the is nearly perfectly tied to the old. Instead of Sora, you are Roxas. Instead of Heartless, you are facing Nobodies. What are Nobodies? Well, they are the form a person takes when someone with a noble heart is killed. The empty shells of what was their life. Their goal? Just like the heartless, they wish to get their heart back also. The story is by far too complicated to explain in text, and so in short, just know that this is a great extended story-line with an AMAZING plot twist and several new, and lovable characters along with a whole new arsenal of enemies. You will like this game if you enjoyed the first, as I would say it has an even better story-line. My OTHER series! Jack and Daxter is made by Naughty Dog, and has 3 main games with several branch off's. The three main games can all be played on a PlayStation 2. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy Featuring and elf-humanoid troublemaker (Jak) and his companion (Daxter) who disobeyed the Sage of the town and went to a mysterious, dark island. Upon this island, they found many monsters known as Lurkers and had a mishap with a terrible substance found in the world, Dark Eco. After an incident with the Dark Eco, Daxter is left possibly (comically) handicapped forever. Along with dark eco, there are various other's with each having it's own property. The world exists with high-tech devices left over my an ancient, forgotten race known as the Precursors. Although society has figured out how to use them, they have not learned how to make them or make any more technological advances. Because of this, the world is a very mundane or primitive place that has a contrast to it because of the technology. Throughout the game, you play as Jak who is sent on various missions in hopes of "curing" Daxter while learning about the Precursors and their ways. You must fight through legions of Lurkers, collect various eco (but stay away from the dark eco!), and do various tasks for people around the world to advance through the game. Will Daxter be cured? Will the secrets of the Precursors be revealed? Jak 2 Taking place after Jak and Daxter (1), it starts off with a certain Precursor invention that Jak and Daxter discovered. The world's government takes Jak in custody for "questioning" about the invention, but in reality they turn Jak into a guinea pig of dark eco. Surviving countless experiments, Jak manages to escape, at the cost of his personality. The experiments took a toll on him, turning him into a darker, bitter, more sinister hero opposed to his silent-yet-good aura around him in the previous game. This game features a high-tech city setting in which Jak is set on finding whoever experimented on him and exacting his revenge. All the while, Jak must save the city from a new group of enemies. Metal Heads. Good thing they give you guns in this game! Will Jak get his revenge? Will Jak save the city? Jak 3 Taking place after Jak 2, a massive 3-way war has broken out for control of Haven City, the capitol of the world. A counsel member has banned Jak from the city and had him thrown out into the wasteland to die. Fortunately, Jak has been found by the leader of a forgotten city, inhabited by nearly all the outcasts of Haven City. A very primitive society, Jak must work off his debt for the city because they saved his life, get back to Haven City to save it from the war, and defeat a new antagonist who seeks world domination. Can Jak possibly do all that in time? I enjoyed this series because of it's story and also how I can relate to some of the characters. So ya, hopefully I convinced someone to go out and play at least one of these games. Hmmm. Probably all time favorite is Mario Kart 64. I played that game so much as a kid, it wasn't even funny. I would put Donkey Kong 64 and Super Mario 64 off to the side just play Mario Kart 64 sometimes. I was overly obsessed with that game. |

Well, my favorite game of all time would be Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64. That was the best game to play with your friends. I also liked Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii. That was a pretty good game too but nothing beats the classics! I heard that PS All-Stars Battle Royale had the same type of game play but I have not tried it out yet. |

I don't think I have already posted in this thread yet. Looking over the pages, I don't see myself in it. So here is my favorite video game...Tecmo Super Bowl! Its the game that started it all for me. That's right...its the first video game I ever played. I think I first played it when I was about 6 or 7 years old, and I still play it often today. This game has amazing depth for a NES game. Its weird that the first video game I ever played is also my favorite video game EVER! I also wrote a review about this game. Just go read it if you want to see exactly how much I love this game! |

My favorite game would have to be a tie between The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Pokemon FireRed. They're the only games I've replayed to completion multiple times and I never get tired of them. |

I know that this will probably sound cliché and overdone to death, but my favorite game of all time would have to be Chrono Trigger for the Snes. I don't know what it is about that game, but I love it to death. Maybe its the music and how each track seems to fit the area it's in, or how the bosses were so memorable. Maybe it was the story line and how you felt you were in control all along the way, or how it sucked you in and made you feel what the character's felt. Maybe it was all these things and more put together, but I will just say, that when you can look back on a game, and you truly enjoyed it every time you played it, that is the mark of a great game. |

I think my most favorite game of all time right now might be Grand Theft Auto 5. It's overall fun besides the crude humor in the game. It has a feel that isn't in any other game, it's kinda unique to me. Probably since it's my only GTA5 game ever. |

My favourite (Yes, there's a "u" in there because I'm Canadian) game
would have to be Portal 1 and 2. I had to pick 1 and 2 because they both were equally great. I like games that have a good story. I just don't know why, but whenever I see a game that has an amazing story, I throw bags of money at it. Back to portal, I'm sure many of us have played portal. It was just so awesome seeing Spoiler: in the first Portal game. such a catchy song after beating GLaDOS would have to be Portal 1 and 2. I had to pick 1 and 2 because they both were equally great. Sonic Heroes hands down. Problem I have is trying to A rank with Team Sonic's extras and Team Dark's normal levels. On that game, just hit 100 emblems. Need all 120 emblems and all 141 A ranks to 100% the game. Also, I stress the game would |

My most favorite game ever...hmmm...I'd say Super Mario Bros. 3. It's my favorite out of the classic side-scrolling Mario games, has 8 worlds, and is relatively challenging and fun, and has music I just can't forget. As for which version I like of it better, it's a tie between the classic NES and the All-Stars one on SNES. It just depends on what kind of mood I'm in. |
