Final Fantasy VI happens to be my favorite, with VII or Super Metroid probably being my second favorite but now and days those are such boring answers. Disregarding that, my choice becomes a little more difficult, and regarding PC gaming, my choice becomes a lot more difficult. Daggerfall, Planescape Torment and Starcraft are all as good as console games like Donkey Kong Country 2, Kirby Super Star, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Phantasy Star IV. Forced at gunpoint, I'd probably say Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfalls my favorite out of those but they're all great games.

On a side note, I highly recommend giving Daggerfall and Torment a try.

Best game for me off the top of my head would be the following:

007 Goldeneye for N64
GTA video game series
Metal Gear Solid series
Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems
First three Resident Evil games
StarFox N64
Perfect Dark N64
Die Hard Arcade

There is more but I think that is enough for now.

Hello,

I found a cool site for us gamers which allows PC gamers to get free gift cards for stuff like Steam, Minecraft and other games (legally) by referring this link: http://epicfreeprizes.com/?ref=117728 copy and paste that to not only give me one point but to make yourself an account which is really easy (just click it and your done, no account names, passwords, emails it's just saved into the computer). So what are you waiting for?

Thanks and sorry for replying (This is my first Forum or whatever so I don't know how to make one, if you replay telling me how to that would be nice).

Me and my girlfriend Brianna always have this discussion lol. She always replies that all her favorite games are the awesome ones she felt herself a character in. I always have to disagree with her on that cause even though there are allot of cool video games I feel myself a character in, three's only one in which I truly feel like a part of the game. Rune Factory 3 is that am because the protagonist has the same personality as me ad his heroine is as nice as my Brianna. Its thanks to that game that I realized how similar my situation was to the story of the game and this realization helped me get the guts to ask Brianna out and befriend her family just like Mica befriended the univern tribe.

Assassin's Creed 2, with Red Dead Redemption being a close 2nd. I am a big fan of games that take you back throughout history and that take the time to make sure the gameplay is historically accurate. Both games do excellent jobs of making you feel like you are actually back in the setting that the game takes place in, with Assassin's Creed actually based on real historical events. They are obviously both great games, but the fact that they are so historically accurate take it over the top for me.

I have a few Favorite games, I guess I shall rate by System
NES: As far as games I played as a kid on the console I'd have to say the original Final Fantasy, the concept was mind boggling, much more enticing that the second place Legend of Zelda, and just really appealed to me, not that I ever got far.   I just loved the graphics that made it different than LoZ.
SNES: I never had one until I found one my uncle had over 5 years ago, so I never really got to appreciate the real value and wonder the 16-bit system had.   Again we go with one I've played on the console on a very limited library, SimCity.   I just got engrossed into the game so much so I would (and still) create my own town history's starting with a 1900 late colonization by European powers.   I was a little taken aback that the game never gave you some options to choose from, like to build your own hospital and what not, since they randomly appeared out of Residential zones you might've made.
N64: The N64 was the second console I ever owned, after my dad had bought it.  My top game for this system was and always has been the game me, my dad, and my second youngest uncle played.   Despite it's shortcoming on the NES, the Legend of Zelda came back to blow my mind, the graphics, the game play, the style, the constant sense of danger you felt.  As a kid Ocarina of Time drew me in and never let go, I felt like I was there with Link.   the Music also made this game the top of all N64 games, no matter how good Kirby would compete.   It had such a huge amount of replayablity that not many games had, even if the outcome would be the same.   This game is one of every ones top games for the N64.
PlayStation: Well as far as the original PlayStation goes my favorite game turned out to be a bomb for many a fan of the TV show.  With Pokémon and Digimon continuing its rising feud, both were delving into the Gaming world.   Digimon World 2 is my PlayStation Favorite, I loved the game play, the idea and concept used, it was addicting, as much as a challenge to really do much.  without the Digiwatch you had to constantly level up until the monsters couldn't level up anymore, then mate them to try to go higher levels.  I had to rent it, but even still this game was awesome to me.
PlayStation 2: This system somehow still keeps putting out games and owns the largest spot on my gaming library, I literally have a bookshelf dedicated to PS2 games.   I was a sports enthusiast during this time,  so a majority are either NBA, MLB, or NFL games.   It was a late discovery after finding the Dynasty/Samurai Warriors series that I really found my favorite game on this system.   Nobunaga's Ambition Iron Triangle/Rise to Power tie as the top  game for me.   With such interesting game play, strategy, and historical accuracy this game just found it's way to the top of my list.   it would let me win for a while then finally provide me with a challenge, and it would always kick my butt.   This challenge is why I had to keep playing, this is what made it so much fun for me.   Leading a group of Samurai and Daimyo to reunite the Nation of Japan, trying to conquer about 200 castles to do so, with 160+ other Daimyo trying to destroy you; I would recommend this game to anyone with an interest in strategy and who like historical fiction games, and also if you're up for a challenge.
Nintendo Gamecube: The Gamecube was the first of the "new generation" consoles I got (new generation being Xbox, PS2, Gamecube).   Once again the Legend of Zelda found its way at the top of the list with Windwaker for quite a long time, until I fell in love with Fire Emblem. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance became my favorite on the Gamecube for my love affair with the hand held games.  Loved the strategy, loved the presentation, it kind've brought Final Fantasy to a more beatable level, without forgetting to keep the Permadeath feature on.  That's right I got pretty frustrated with it, losing one character at one point could ruin opportunities to get new characters later on, there were so many hidden things in this game I just had to keep everyone alive.  No play through is the same with the percentage of hits either you or enemy can receive.   Where you might have 88% chance to hit, the opponent could still kill your character.   Anyway PoR just went above and beyond my expectations for it, in fact its the only game I've ever gotten someone in college to get hooked on, so much so he wanted to take my gamecube and the game with him. Needless to say I never let him keep either
PlayStation 3: Penultimate system I got.  With its gaming library constantly adding on much like its older cousin, It's hard to say for sure.  I would have to go with Skyrim.   The first of the Elder Scrolls games I've played, I just fell deep into its graphics and dynamic game play.  This was one button masher I could really get behind, yes I called it that, but during hand to hand combat it has the flow of button masher.   It also reminded me of Fable 2, of which I had become fond of on the Xbox, so the segue between just made me glad to own both systems and glad I had friends who had Oblivion, which is what got me over to Skyrim.
Xbox360: The Final system I have purchased, as a late bloomer in the collection, also has a limited library for me to choose from (based on what I've played) I'd have to say the cake goes to Fable 2.  I bought the Xbox from a friend and this was one of the games he threw in with the system.   It was the first one I played, and has since stayed around to be my favorite from the brand new (to me) game play that I had been missing out on from the Elder Scrolls series that I never really bothered to pick up.   I had seemed to be a rebel to the hit games, but Fable 2 became itself a hit game.
Now before I conclude with my all time favorite, I'd like to mention some honorable mentions.
Kingdom Hearts 2 on the PS2 as the second best on the system behind the Nobunaga's Ambition twins, really amazed me. I was locked into the game for hours, following the story line that was intertwined with Chain of Memories, and with this (spoiler alert) introduction of a new character; Roxas.   Even though the start of the game just made me confused at first, I finally got it. For once a storyboard that was interesting to me.
Castlevania on the NES was only a game I played on this website, I never got the honor of owning the game, as my dad never ended up buying it back in the late 80's still before my time.   The music and the difficulty would still get me invested into the game, although I'd rather play it and Super Castlevania IV on their respective consoles.
So the Top 3 games of all time!
3: Nobunaga's Ambition: Iron Triangle/ Rise to Power.  These two just kick ass for their genre
2: Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.   This series is still gaining on the LoZ series, and I almost debated on making this one my number one
1: If you've read all this I applaud you, and you most likely know what game is my all time favorite.  That's right Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde! No not really, although after watching the AVGN I had to play the game, which brought me to this sight in the first place.   my Favorite game of all time is the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.  OoT in its various editions has been an instant classic to me; it dominated the landscape of my gaming ever since I saw my dad and his brother play it.   I have so many memories of it, it will always be on the list of my top games of all time.

In all honesty, I have no "favorite", however, I have put quite a lot of time and heart into the Harvest Moon series. I've played every version and beat almost all of them. (Never finished save the homeland or A wonderful Life.) But I love to play almost any game and am always looking forward to checking out a new game (as long as it isn't shooter games.... I fail at those....). Woohoo!

My favorite Video Game has to be Paper Mario now. I use to say that Super Mario 64 was my all time favorite, but now its different. After playing it again, I felt its Adventure/RPG feel, and its amazing. The battles and the side stories are great.
