As believers our faith is not limited to, but significantly experiential. What has the Lord done in your life recently or in your walk with Him?

Essentially what I'm asking is have you experienced anything in your life where you have either learned of the character of God or any guidance in your life from Him? It doesn't have to be anything personal, just anything about how you recognize His presence or guidance in your life.


I’ll start by saying this is the first board I've been on because I'm generally not a social person. So when I registered here it was really only to play the games. When I started posting it was just random, to gain Viz like all the other newbies. Actually though, the quality of this board and it's users (not just the Christians) motivated me to post more often. Also, when I registered I wasn't aware of the Christian forum; it's awesome to know there are other Christians who are into retro games.

So with that said, I believe the Lord directed me to this website to fill in the gap of my down-time off work. Aside from this website, what I've recently experienced with Him is that there is a growing realization that day by day there is friendship with Him; I'll never fully grasp the awesomeness of that.

Also...
I believe that, during camp a couple weeks ago, God was truly working in me. Normally I'm not all that patient... you should see the way my brother and I go at each other. But at day camp two weeks ago... I was put as one of the leaders in the tribe of the lone Downs' Syndrome kid at camp... and boy was he a handful. But... and this must have been God, or else I would have snapped by Tuesday... I was able to stay calm with him. Calmer than most other people, some of whom have known him longer.

bigNATE : The love of God is patience, definitely the Holy Spirit in you at the camp (read Galatians 5:22&23).

God has also been teaching me some patience. He is also working on me in regards to forgiving someone.

I'm glad you appear to understand now... this one was simply that you needed a break from Debate forum, your posts were starting to lack substance.

Hoochman, glad to hear it. It always encourages me to hear how God is working in the lives of others.

Praise God for giving me my job which I've had for a little more than a month. Its coming to an end in a week and a half because it only goes for the summer. Even though it is almost at an end, it is good of God to finally provide me with a dependable job.

Glory to ye all who have posted on this thread. No man/women can say the Lord has done nothing for him/her. The Lord has lead us all to this particular thread. I praise the Lord every day for what he has done for me. At school a group of my friend and I preach to random people. I thank God for the friends I have, and I hope all of you do to.

First, for the past year I have been depressed somewhat to the degree that I might consider it severe. I was laid-off my job, no big deal, except I can't get work anywhere because I waited too long to try; and now most everywhere wants recent employment for the past six months as the prerequisite for hire.

As such, I've been attending a tech school for some time now, which has job-placement upon completion.(Finished and working now)But anyway, because of issue after issue adding up, I've distanced myself from everyone, including not going to church.

So because I'm not talking to friends really that much, I've found this site to be a tremendous blessing for its Christian forum being on a video game / general message board.
With this forum I can have at least some contact with other Christians, which helps me to focus on the Lord.

Second, I've been trying to communicate a truth of Christianity to someone for some time now and it's always been an intolerant view for him. Apparently it has "clicked" to the point where he's now attending a Christian church. Further, him and I were talking about a certain subject which led to another subject, and my reply came as I was going to say something to him, then out of nowhere, I was inspired to say something else which I was not even focusing towards.

So I told him and he accepted it finally, because he has been trying to figure it out for a couple years now, and point being is that my response was not of myself, but of Christ!

Gosh I have expirenced god so many times in my life. He has done so much for me and my family. I feel like I could never say thank you enough to him for all the things he has done and blessed me for in my life.

God is to truly thank for every thing good in my life. Some of the more memorable things recently would have to be when he sent my uncle out to stay with us while he was looking for work last year and he took me to his church in which I was baptized and found a family in my new christian community. And even though my mom doesn't go with me and we now go to separate churches, I still attend regularly every Sunday. Had that not happened, I still might not be going to church. The next most memorable thing would have to be discovering the conservative Christian's forum on this site. Ever since I started visiting this christian friendly forum, I feel like I've been able to strengthen my bond with God even further than before, and I am very thankful for this.

I am truthfully thankful we have a savior to watch over us while we live..God has recently kept my 2 great grandparents alive even though they are both over a hundred and living. I am thankful that Jesus died for I sins and I am happy many people believe what I believe.

The end of June marked the end of a college class.  It was my third attempt at History 103 (United States I).  As with other classes, I had been fearful of what others would think about my work.  I was so fearful that some assignments would never get submitted.  My first attempt at History 103 ended with a D.  Not even 65%.  My second attempt had to be cut short so I could focus on other classes, so I ended that class with a W (withdrawal).  During my third attempt, I was really applying what I had learned from my first to attempts.  I was talking to my instructor more, and I was getting help from tutors early.  But even then, I was still afraid to hand in my papers.  As the moment of handing in a book review crept up, I finally had enough.  I was sick and tired of postponing it and decided to just hand my papers in and leave it in God's hands.  God got me through the class with an overall grade of 95%.  If anyone cares to, I recommend watching and listening to this music video on Youtube.  I listened to this one often during the semester. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV0CZTss85E

I have also been going through a rough time dealing with my worldview.  As a music enthusiast, I would search on Youtube for music videos to help me try to understand things.  Unfortunately, my darkened worldview took everything positive out of five music videos I had been watching.  The road to recovery -in this scenario- is still going on at a slow pace, but God is doing something.  I have another song I recommend listening to.  If you get the chance, listen to Lamps by Esterlyn --the same band as the music video link provided above.  Basically, I now believe that the problems that we see all too often are simply more of a purpose I have to serve God.  It is not the best, but it is something.

I personally believe he was at my side in those times where I was failing miserably and he helped me out in things such as final exams, getting friends, etc. I'm glad he helped me out, because my life is a lot better than it used to be a couple of years ago.

I believe he has helped me through some very tough times indeed, He made me never give up hope and to always try my hardest

I've experienced God a lot over the past year in learning to look for and accept His promises.  I don't think I realized before that when He says He won't forsake or fail me, and that He will guide me along the best pathways of my life, He means it.  It takes time, though, and God's action in our lives doesn't always look like what we expect.  I think I'm learning to appreciate that, though.

I've experienced God a lot in the past year, now he has shown me his forgiveness and shows me that there are no lost causes.

Only a few weeks ago, I got a call from my mom back home. One of  my former co workers - a good guy - had gotten in a terrible skateboarding accident, and was now in critical care. It was a sobering thought to think that this poor guy (whom, I believe, didn't know Jesus) could be dead very soon. In fact, all signs said that he would likely die soon. Support gathered as many of his friends on facebook updated their profile pictures to a sketch of him with the words "Go Simon" at the bottom. Prayers flowed toward this young man and his survival.
He has now woken up from the comma and is talking with his family and even controlling his bladder again. He recognized one of his old teachers who came to see him. One nurse says that she has seen countless cases like his, but this is only the second time in her long career that she has ever seen somebody recover so well; so quickly.
Our prayers will continue to flood to him for some time still.

I believe that God is with me at all time. I can see him when I am with my friends, alone, with my family, at church, and doing something good like volunteering in a service project.

So at school there is this one mean girl who is always a jerk to me. One day I totally lost my temper and I called her a b****. I kept worrying all day that she would tell the school authorities. Right before lunchtime, my teacher tells me that he got a phone call telling me to go down to the main office. I said a quick prayer, and reluctantly walked down to the main office, bracing myself for the wrath of the vice principal. As I walk into the main office, the secretary tells me that I forgot my lunch and my mom dropped it off for me.

Isn't god so awesome?

A few years ago, I was riding my bike, crashed, and went over the handlebars. While I was passed out, I saw heaven and met God. I was having some troubles in my life, and reminded me that if I believe, I go to heaven. I woke up, was fortunately unharmed, and found out I was out for a second. Also, I was once under a lot of stress, was freaking out, and when I thought "God loves you", I calmed down.

I...need Bible Accountability! I need someone or something to help me make sure I read some Bible each day! Thanks!

I'm doing my best to be pure good rather then to be pure evil but I don't think I'm getting anything out of it so what's the point?They never answer my prayers on the most important things that I mostly like value .I don't I'll ever have a moment to shine in my life.I won't pull away christianity i was skeptic on other religions some i  share the faith with but I'm originally a christian so turning away from a religion is a sin.

I once remember dreaming about seeing god one time. It was when I was about 7 so I don't remember all that much about him. He was surrounded by angels with wings.

I'm going to unstick this since it's just floating up at the top of the forum with no replies *replying with this* in hopes that it will get a reply, otherwise it will just fade away to the next page lol.

I struggle with OCD and anxiety, and have plummeted to rock bottom several times in my life now... Every time I think it's too much though, Jesus has been there like a best friend, snatching me out of the pit. I was skeptical for so long, being raised in a lukewarm catholic home, but one day the Lord just made his amazing presence known to me in such a profound way. I was online searching for testimonies of people who got through struggles with anxiety, and this one women's story caught my eye. Mind you, I was an atheist at this time, but as I continued to read her story of faith and deliverance in Jesus I felt this incredibly sense of warmth and peace surge through my entire body. That's when the scales were removed from my eyes and I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that God was real. I've been a Christian for a little over a year now, and it's been a learning experience with many struggles and victories. One thing I know is that, if a person sincerely calls upon God, he will always stretch out a helping hand.

AMEN brother! Always happy to see that someone is learning through their walk with Christ. To remind you, however, that it will never be perfectly smooth sailing until we cross that border back into our Home. Then it's time to coast while we praise God for pulling us through! (Using an analogy to demonstrate our arrival to Heaven once we die). The path is narrow my friend. It's loaded with obstacles. Always expect possibilities of doubts and questioning to come your way as well. Take care.

Thanks for the encouragement, mate. It definitely can be a difficult path to walk, and a constant learning experience, but as Jesus said to the apostle Paul: ''my grace is sufficient for you''. In us it is impossible, but if we stay attached to the vine, the Lord will make a way. Peace.
